Second Seal

Revelation 6: 3-4

³ When he opened the second seal, I heard the second living creature say, "Come!"

⁴ And out came another horse, bright red; its rider was permitted to take peace from the earth, so that men should slay one another; and he was given a great sword.

• Another beast says come and see, another goes out that is Red:
• Red, a symbol for blood. Not an innocent “white” but a “blood” red now. Same person, just changing his power or way of getting his doctrine to the people. He can now Kill to get his doctrine out.

• Power was given to him to take peace from the earth, and kill one another, and there was given unto him a great sword.
• Notice “He was given” – we give him the power to do these things
• Take peace from the earth and kill – He has now dropped his bow, got off his white horse and gets on his red horse. His doctrine is now so strong in the people that he has combined church and state together (remember Constantine), and now having a sword, which is political power, he can kill anyone opposed to his doctrine (68 million to be exact).
• He is now a vicar – a false prophet to the false system, controlling both church affairs and political affairs. Now he can kill anyone opposed to this doctrine.
• A sword to kill one another. Political wars (same as today).
• Pagan Rome and Papal Rome has united under this false prophet.
• The beast that combats this rider is the ox, and the age it compasses is Thyatira.
