– Not Being Mixed With Faith Pt.2 (Tempered Together) - Samuel Dale
HEBREWS 4:1-2
1 ¶ Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left [us] of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
HEBREWS 4:2
2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard [it].
I CORINTHIANS 12:12-27
12 ¶ For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also [is] Christ.
I CORINTHIANS 12:13
13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether [we be] Jews or Gentiles, whether [we be] bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
I CORINTHIANS 12:14
14 For the body is not one member, but many.
I CORINTHIANS 12:15
15 If the foot shall say, Because I am not the hand, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
I CORINTHIANS 12:16
16 And if the ear shall say, Because I am not the eye, I am not of the body; is it therefore not of the body?
I CORINTHIANS 12:17
17 If the whole body [were] an eye, where [were] the hearing? If the whole [were] hearing, where [were] the smelling?
I CORINTHIANS 12:18
18 But now hath God set the members every one of them in the body, as it hath pleased him.
I CORINTHIANS 12:19
19 And if they were all one member, where [were] the body?
I CORINTHIANS 12:20
20 But now [are they] many members, yet but one body.
I CORINTHIANS 12:21
21 And the eye cannot say unto the hand, I have no need of thee: nor again the head to the feet, I have no need of you.
I CORINTHIANS 12:22
22 Nay, much more those members of the body, which seem to be more feeble, are necessary:
I CORINTHIANS 12:23
23 And those [members] of the body, which we think to be less honourable, upon these we bestow more abundant honour; and our uncomely [parts] have more abundant comeliness.
I CORINTHIANS 12:24
24 For our comely [parts] have no need: but God hath tempered the body together, having given more abundant honour to that [part] which lacked:
I CORINTHIANS 12:25
25 That there should be no schism in the body; but [that] the members should have the same care one for another.
I CORINTHIANS 12:26
26 And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it.
I CORINTHIANS 12:27
27 ¶ Now ye are the body of Christ, and members in particular.
HEBREWS.CHAPTER.4_ JEFF.IN HEB SUNDAY_ 57-0901E
134-90 Now, listen close.
For He spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God rested... from all his works.
And in this place again,... (the law)... If they shall enter into my rest.
He give the Jews, on their way from the promised land... or from the--Egypt to the promised land, the seventh day sabbath. Now, listen.
Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and to they whom it was first preached... (The rest, God give them the law, and the sabbath was the fourth commandment.)... entered not in because of unbelief:...
Now, watch, He's talking about the law. How they entered in, wasn't mixed with faith, they didn't keep it. They kept the sabbath in a memorial that they were going to a land of sabbath to have everlasting rest from all their troubles, and all their worries, no more taskmasters, no more restless nights. They were on their way to the promised land of rest. It flowed with milk and honey. The grapes was so big that two men packed one bunch over their shoulders. Oh, what a land of blessed rest. But they failed to get it when they got there because of their unbelief. They were turned aside at only forty miles from where they left in Egypt to the promised land. And they were forty years getting there because of their unbelief. God gave them their prophet, gave him His sign, give him the Pillar of Fire, showed signs and wonders, and preached the Gospel to them. And they walked out after the fishes and loaves and fell in the wilderness, and their carcasses perished in the wilderness.
QA.ON.GENESIS_ JEFF.IN COD WEDNESDAY_ 53-0729
37-152 Now, notice now in Hebrews 4, he comes to the sabbath proposition. Now, look.
Let us therefore fear, lest, the promise being left us to enter into his rest,...
Now, Paul speaking to sabbath keepers now, the people that kept the sabbath day. "Let us fear lest a promise being left us about a sabbath day," in other words. Or if you'll notice your marginal reading, or the "keeping of a sabbath." It's "j" in mine, of the Scofield Bible, or the "keeping of a sabbath." See? All right.
Let us... fear, lest, a promise being left us... to come short of it.
For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them... (back under the law):... but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith to them that heard it.
Now, that's back under the law. They didn't have faith, 'cause there's nothing to base it on. See? All right:
HEBREWS.CHAPTER.4_ JEFF.IN HEB SUNDAY_ 57-0901E
131-71 Oh, he done everything but take his life, but he couldn't move Job. Job knowed he stood pat on the Word. That's right. And all the devils out of hell couldn't move him, for he knowed he had offered that sacrifice. He was just. And they accused him, said, "You've sinned, Job, and God's a punishing you." He knew that God hadn't--that he hadn't sinned before God. He knew that he was righteous, not because he was a good man, but because He was accepting the burnt offering in his stead.
And tonight we know that his life proved out that he was righteous. And when you... Not trying to get home to glory because you try to help your neighbor (That's good.), not because you join church (That's good.), but you get home to glory because you accept the righteousness of Jesus Christ, nothing that you've done yourself.
Now, as we read on:
For unto us was the gospel preached,... (2nd verse)... as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it. (Faith wasn't in them that heard the Word.)
CONDEMNATION.BY.REPRESENTATION_ JEFF.IN V-2 N-13 SUNDAY_ 60-1113
29-6 Come away from that hybrid tree. Get over here to the original fruit that's got life in it. Eat of Him. Jesus said, "I'm the Bread of Life that come from God out of heaven. Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness (not being mixed with faith. See?)--eat manna in the wilderness and they're all dead. But I'm the Bread of Life that come from God out of heaven. He that eats this Bread has Eternal Life. I'll raise him up at the last days. He shall never perish; he's got Everlasting Life." Let's come back to the Tree this morning. Let's get away from what man says. Let's get away from what the--the--the churches say. Let's come back and take the Bible, and believe the Bible. We're--we're too late now to go to fussing. See?
WISDOM.VERSUS.FAITH_ JEFF.IN V-3 N-17 SUNDAY_ 62-0401
63-4 I got a Scripture here; you mind if I read It? Let's take Hebrews the 4th chapter right quick, just a minute. I want to read this; it just looks so good to me right here. Hebrews 4, and let's get Hebrews 4 and start from 1 to 2:
Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us to enter into his rest, as of... You should seem to come short of it.
For unto us was the Gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with... (knowledge? wisdom?)... faith in them that... (faith in them that what?)... heard it,
WISDOM.VERSUS.FAITH_ JEFF.IN V-3 N-17 SUNDAY_ 62-0401
63-5 You can have all the Word; you can know that Word from A to Z, and It will never work for you. Have you seen man take that Word and try to make It work? Say, "Brother, Glory to God..." It just won't work. You can't fool with the Word. No, no! No, no! No matter what you profess, the Word testifies of Itself. No matter what you claim, the Word gives the testimony. That's right.
Now, Satan knowed the Word; he knowed It from A to Z. Well, you know what? I imagine, if he'd have a degree, he'd have enough titles to stretch across four or five pages of paper. Doctor, Reverend, Elder, Ph., L.L., Q.D., all the alphabet, and every way. His degree would be in that Bible. He knows every word of It. Sure he does. See?
HEBREWS.CHAPTER.4_ JEFF.IN HEB SUNDAY_ 57-0901E
129-56 The good news to us now, "That God has sent a Deliverer, the Holy Ghost, and we're on the road to the promised land." Now, people has made it creeds and denominations, but God still remains that our Rest is the Holy Ghost. Notice.
... gospel was preached... unto them as well as unto us: but the word preached did not profit them,... the... (Remember)... the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
Oh, my, brethren, let me stop here for a minute. No matter how much the Word is preached, how well you like the way It's been preached, unless you yourself are a partaker of that, It won't do you one bit of good.
... not being mixed with faith by them that heard it.
HEBREWS.CHAPTER.4_ JEFF.IN HEB SUNDAY_ 57-0901E
130-59 They seen the miracles of Moses; they said, "That's pretty good." And they walked over and they--they seen him perform miracles. And they seen the Pillar of Fire maybe, or heard them talk about It, "Oh, that's all right." But it wasn't mixed with personal faith. For as soon as they got to the wilderness, they every one begin to murmur. And God said because that they doubted, it was sin. Don't doubt nothing. Believe. Don't doubt; no matter how hard the case is, believe it.
Now, they begin to murmur, and God overthrowed them. And then He swore in His wrath, that they should never enter into His Rest. And the Bible said here, I believe it's in the--the 3rd chapter, that their carcasses fell in the wilderness.
DOOR.OF.THE.DOOR_ NEWARK.NJ THURSDAY_ 57-1212
E-50 Now, if that's operating in your life, with the other, blessed be the Name of the Lord. But if some of it's there without the rest of it, be careful you're on dangerous ground. See? Satan can impersonate most anything that God does. But you can tell it's not mixed with love, or neither has it faith. The Word being preached, not profit them not being mixed with faith.
[Blank.spot.on.tape--Ed.] I'll ask first, you to give me bread and you said, "The purchase price is twenty-five cents. And you give me the twenty-five cents, I'm just as happy as if I had the bread. The bread's mine, because I've got the purchase power of a loaf of bread. I can be just as happy standing here with twenty-five cents if I was starving to death and a loaf of bread would save my life, and maybe I'd have to go six blocks before, and stop at every traffic light, and be stopped twenty times by police, and criticized by many critics, and I might be so hungry when I get there I will have cramps and all kinds of symptoms, but as long as I got the twenty-five cents, what makes the difference?
DOOR.OF.THE.DOOR_ NEWARK.NJ THURSDAY_ 57-1212
E-51 Faith, if it's in your heart and God has planted it there, and you believe it, there's nothing going to stand in your way. Every doctor could tell you contrary; every pastor could tell you something different; that wouldn't make one speck of difference; you've got it. And you're just as happy, when it drops in your heart, as you are when you possess what you're asking for. There you are.
Now, if our blessed Lord, will be so good to come here tonight, and will manifest Hisself in our presence, and show that He's here... Now, how is faith sent? You say, "Brother Branham, I got a sick child; my mother's sick. I'm sick myself, would you heal us?" I wish I could, but I can't.
COMMUNION_ JEFF.IN V-10 N-1 SUNDAY_ 62-0204
121 Now, let me close in saying this one word now, 'fore we go to the communion table. The Blood and the Body of the Lord, mixed with faith, that the Blood and the Body; that's the Spirit and the Word, mixed with faith equals Eternal Life. "He that eats My Flesh and drinks My Blood has Eternal Life, and I will raise him up at the last day." There you are. What is it? The communion of the Lord. The Word and the Spirit, this Life is in the Blood; the Word and the Spirit equals Eternal Life by faith in the Lord.

WILL.I.FIND.FAITH.WHEN.I.RETURN_ LA.CA TUESDAY_ 51-0508
E-64 That's a gift, the gift of the Holy Spirit. Nine spiritual gifts are operating in the body. And tonight it may be on this person, tomorrow night on that person, one over there. And you do what the Holy Spirit says do. For it's the gifts, nine gifts that's in the Body, working in the Body everywhere. And the Body ought to be working together, tempered together. We get all the dross out, it would be that way too. Amen. All the difference...
CHURCH.DEDICATION_ CLEVELAND.TN WEDNESDAY_ 59-0708M
E-45 That's where you churches is got today, you denominations; you built, and you plastered, and you got buildings; but you find there's a hole there somewhere. What did they find? The stone that was rejected, said Jesus, is the chief cornerstone. Certainly.
You made denominations, "We have it; the rest of them's not in it." You're leaving out the love of God, the chief cornerstone. I don't care how many miracles you can perform, how many prophets you have, how many works of grace you do; it'll never meet or never do anything because the Church of the living God is melted together and cemented by love. And they rejected that stone.
BLASPHEMOUS.NAMES_ JEFF.IN V-3 N-21 SUNDAY_ 62-1104M
11-1 First: foundationally, is faith. Second: add to your faith, virtue; to your virtue, knowledge; from knowledge, temperance; from temperance, patience; to patience, godliness; and from godliness, brotherly love, brotherly kindness; and then love being the capstone: seven of those things. Seven church ages (See?), and seven stars of the church ages, and all of it is tempered together by the Holy Spirit.
Now, that's what it takes to become a servant of Christ. Christ builds His Church in seven church ages, His Bride, a Person, Woman, Church. Seven church ages constitute and make the Bride: some out of this age, and some out of that age, and some out of that age, and all together, and shaping it like a pyramid.
BLASPHEMOUS.NAMES_ JEFF.IN V-3 N-21 SUNDAY_ 62-1104M
36-1 You never can join a Church; you join a lodge. You're a member of a lodge, of a group of people just like a lodge is. "We believe in this; we have our orders, and we have our secrecy and so forth." You do the same when--when you join a so-called church, but you cannot join Church. You joined a lodge of members but not a Church, for you are born into that Church. And the vine itself... Now, wait a minute. Watch. And I'll close after while.
Notice. Excuse me, I--I didn't mean to say that. Watch. Look. If God tempered this Bride together with that Spirit, then It tempers the individual together with that Spirit. See? Then you are born into that Kingdom, and then the very Life that was in this Church is in that Church, and that, that, that, that. And the very Life that was in the hull, the Vine, Jesus, is in the member that He's put forth. Glory. "With the same things that I do, the works that I do, shall you do also." There's the true member of the Body of Christ; no kind of a name tacked onto it. The very works of that individual proves where he come from. There's Life testifies what he is.
"Are--are you... What member--what body do you belong to?"
"The Body of Christ."
"Well, where did you join It?"
"I didn't; I was born in It." See? "I was borned in It."
You don't have to tell them. They know what's happened. You just... "How can you light a candle and put a bushel over it?" He said. See? No, no.
