EPHESIAN.CHURCH.AGE - CHURCH.AGE.BOOK CPT.3
Now that we have come this far, let me try to crystallize your thinking on this
subject so you can see the necessity of our going into the 'serpent seed
doctrine' as I have. We start with the fact that there were TWO trees in the
midst of the garden. The Tree of Life was Jesus. The other tree is definitely
Satan because of what came forth of the fruit of that tree. Now then, we know
that both of those trees had a relationship to man or they would never have been
placed there. They must have had a part in the sovereign plan and purpose of God
in their relationship to mankind and to Himself or we could never impute
omniscience unto God. This is all true so
far, is it not? Now the Word most definitely sets forth that from BEFORE the
foundation of the earth the purpose of God was to share His Eternal Life with
man. Ephesians 1:4-11, "According as He hath chosen us in Him
before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame
before Him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by
Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, To the
praise of the glory of His grace, wherein He hath made us accepted in the
beloved. In Whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins,
according to the riches of His grace; Wherein He hath abounded toward us in all
wisdom and prudence; Having made known unto us the mystery of His will,
according to His good pleasure which He hath purposed in Himself: That in the
dispensation of the fulness of times He might gather together in one all things
in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in Him: In
Whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the
purpose of Him Who worketh all things after the counsel of His own will."
Revelation 13:8, "And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him (Satan)
whose names are not written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the
foundation of the world." But
that Life could not, and would not, be shared in any other way than through the
way of "God manifest in the flesh." This was a part of His eternal and
predestinated purpose. This plan was to be to the praise of the glory of His
grace. It was the plan of Redemption. It was the plan of Salvation. Now listen
closely. "God being a Saviour, it was necessary that He predestinate a man who
would require salvation in order to give Himself reason and purpose of being."
That is one hundred percent correct and multitudes of Scripture bear it out as
does the very pointed verse of Romans 11:36, "For of Him, and through Him, and
to Him, are ALL THINGS: to Whom be GLORY for ever. Amen." Man could not directly
come and partake of that Tree of Life in the midst of the garden. That Eternal
Life of the Tree had to become flesh first. But before God could raise and save
a sinner, He had to have a sinner to raise and save. Man had to fall. The fall
which would be caused by Satan, had to have flesh to make fall. Satan had to
come through flesh also. But Satan could not come through human flesh to make
the fall as would Christ come in human flesh to restore the fallen. But there
was an animal, the serpent, so close to man that Satan could get to that beast
and through that beast he could get to human flesh and cause the fall, and
inject himself thereby into the human race, even as Jesus would one day come and
inject Himself into the human race, into human bodies, even to the extent of a
resurrection wherein we would have bodies like unto His glorified one. Thus what
God worked out here in the garden was His predestinated plan. And when Satan had
brought about that which was necessary to the purpose of God, then man could not
get to the Tree Of Life in the garden. Certainly not. It wasn't
time. But an animal (animal had caused the fall had it not? let animal life be
shed) was taken and his blood shed and then God had communion with man again.
Then there was to come a day when God would appear in flesh, and by means of His
humiliation He would restore fallen man and make him a partaker of that Life
Eternal. Once you see this, you can understand the serpent seed and know that it
was no apple Eve ate. No, it was the degradation of humanity by intermingling
the seed.
HARVEST.TIME_ PHOENIX.AZ V-18 N-6 SATURDAY_ 64-1212
122 Now, we're just looking for what day we're living in, the harvest time.
Then God, after Adam had fell (tried by the Word, and fell), God continued in
His creation to try to find a man who would live every Word. Now, look. He tried
to find that, that is, live the Word for his age. Now, you see, God scattered
His Word out, 'cause He could...
He's--He's infinite, and He's--He's omnipresent, omniscient, therefore He knows
all things. He can't be present everywhere. By being omniscient, knowing all
things, then He can be present everywhere.
Because that's the way He predestinates us by foreknowledge,
not because He desired that this person
should be saved and this one lost. But He knew who would be lost and who would
be saved. See? Therefore, by His foreknowledge He can predestinate. And He makes
everything work to His glory. That's what His attributes are
doing, displaying to His glory. One vessel of honor and one of dishonor, but
it's God that maketh it. "Not him that willeth or him that runneth, but God that
showeth mercy." See?
WHY.SOME.PEOPLE.CAN'T.KEEP.VICTORY_ OAKLAND.CA SUNDAY_ 57-0324
E-15 Now, a man's on the basis of free moral--free moral agency. And he
cannot... God could not take a man and say, "Now, I'm going to make you do this.
I'm going to make you be--to be a lost man. I'm going to make you be a saved
man." That wouldn't be the nature of God. No. He's not willing that any should
perish, but He wants all to repent. But if He was... Being infinite as He is, He
knew from the beginning who would perish and who would not perish, because He
knew what would be. Now, He's not willing that it would be that way; He want's
all to come back to Him, but He knows who will and who won't. So therefore,
He could by foreknowledge, He can make
everything work right according to His plan. Oh, aren't you happy for a Father
like that?

46 Now, now, we find out then that when we brought down, the next article we
have here, finding out that--that's the reason we are a nondenominational... And
we believe that there's borned again Christians, sainted people in Methodist,
Baptist, Presbyterian, Pentecostal, and whatmore. We believe that God's church
is that seed that's mixed down through this realm down through here, and it come
in by what we spoke of last night, and will further discuss it: predestination.
Not that God predestines
anything to be, but by foreknowledge He can predestinate, for He knowed all
things.
And we found out last night that there's nobody ever got saved, like tonight,
and had their name wrote on the Lamb's Book of Life. Your name was either put on
the Lamb's Book of Life before the world begin or it never was there and never
will be. We find out when God slayed the Lamb before the foundation of the
world, you was slain with your Lamb. You believe that? Find out just in a
minute.
PROVING.HIS.WORD_ JEFF.IN V-9 N-6 SUNDAY_ 64-0816
75 We find out over there in--in--in, I believe, it's in I Thessalonians, He
said, "He has predestinated us to the adoption of children by Jesus Christ."
God, not saying "I'll choose you, and don't choose you," but His foreknowledge
knowed what you would do. So by
foreknowledge He can set in order, and He's made everything to work for His good
and for your good.
HEARING.RECEIVING.AND.ACTING_ CHATAUQUA.OH TUESDAY_ 60-0607
E-10 But Jacob, his twin brother, by election, which was by predestination by foreknowledge, came into the world and was a spiritual man to represent the spiritual people. And he was--had spiritual discernment of what was right and what was wrong. And if you will understand, that the entire Church of the living God is built upon the revelation of Jesus Christ. How did Abel offer unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, if it had not been revealed to him what the sacrifice was required--what sacrifice was required, rather?
TRYING.TO.DO.GOD.A.SERVICE_ SHP.LA V-7 N-2 SATURDAY_ 65-1127B
133 Now, but God has His Word set, and has in all ages. His foreknowledge has caused Him to set in the church, and in the people, certain things that He did from the beginning. And then the Gospel that's being preached to that age is only revealed to that certain people; the rest of them don't see it. See? "Thank Thee, Father, Thou has hid these things from the eyes of the wise and prudent, and reveal it to babes such as would learn." That's predestination. Not that He did it by, you say, "I'll choose you, and don't choose you." By His foreknowledge He knowed what you would do.
By Him being infinite... You believe He's infinite? If He isn't, He can't be God. Then, just think, being infinite He knew every flea that would ever be on the earth, how many times them fleas would bat their eyes, how much tallow was in each flea, every blade of grass it would ever set on; that's infinite. We're finite; we stumble in darkness. God likened us to sheep, and we must have a leader. And that leader's not man; that Leader is the Holy Ghost, the Spirit of Christ among us. "A little while and the world seeth Me no more." His physical Being was raised up to the throne of God, where the Spirit was on the throne; now Christ is on the throne: Jesus. "A little while and the world seeth Me no more, yet ye shall see Me, for I'll be with you to the end of the world, even in you." The throne of God, of Christ, is erected into your heart; and He's setting on God's throne; but in the millennium He sets on His own throne; which, He swore that He'd raise up this man, His Son, David's Son, to set on His throne.

494-Q-103 103. Now, let's see. Now, the next one here says; What is meant by predestination before the world begin; where is it in the Bible? Predestination before the world begin?
All right, my precious friend, let us turn to Ephesians the 1st chapter just for one place. We won't take too long on this one I don't think, unless it doesn't answer right. And let's just start reading here at Ephesians the 1st chapter.
Now, the first thing, I want to say this, that "predestination" is a bad word for a minister to--to use before an untrained congregation. See? It is. I don't use it. Sometimes here at the church... But out in the audiences, out in the big... Where everything's piled in from everything, I watch that word. I always use the word foreknowledge, because predestination is only the foreknowledge of God. God being infinite, by foreknowledge He knew everything, or He isn't infinite. See, see? He knew what would happen. So by foreknowledge He could predestinate.
SEED.SHALL.NOT.BE.HEIR_ LA.CA V-18 N-5 THURSDAY_ 65-0429B
47 That's why the rapture, the Bride, the wise virgin, the called-out, the foreordained, the elected... Why, you business men wouldn't run your office like some people try to think that God runs His program: haphazard. God knew before the foundation of the world who would be saved and who would not be saved. By predestination, by foreknowledge He saw every member, put every name on the Lamb's Book of Life before the church ever began. Jesus come to seek and save that which was on that Book. He bought the Book of Redemption. It was lost, and He redeemed us, and all names was on that Book was redeemed when He redeemed us.
JEHOVAH.JIREH.PART.2_ GRASS.VALLEY.CA JJ 73-106 FRIDAY_ 62-0706
33 Now, there's a doctrine of predestination which is rotten, nonsense. But there really is a true predestination. God, by foreknowledge could predestinate, because He has foreknowledge. God's not willing that any should perish, but being the infinite God, knew that who would perish and who would not.
That's the reason He said before Isaac or--or before Jacob or Esau was born, He hated Esau and loved Jacob. His foreknowledge let Him know that Esau was a shyster, and He let Him know that Jacob respected that birthright; regardless of how he got it, he wanted it. Now, both boys, twins, born from the same holy mother and father, but one was a renegade and the other was a--a believer. Now, God by His foreknowledge knew that.
EPHESIANS.PARALLELS.JOSHUA_ JEFF.IN AD.1 SUNDAY_ 60-0515E
106 Listen to this. Predestination looks back to foreknowledge--I mean election. Election looks back to foreknowledge, and predestination looks to destiny. Don't forget that, that election looks back here, here it is, "I was a cocklebur. I was borned in sin, shaped in iniquity, come to the world speaking lies, born amongst sinners. Father and mother and all my whole family, sinners. I was a cocklebur. But all of a sudden I become a wheat grain. How did it happen?" I--That, what is that? Election. God, before the foundation of the world, elected that the cocklebur was to become a grain of wheat. "Now, I know I'm a grain of wheat, because I'm saved. How do I do it?" Look back and see that He predestinated it, long time ago. By foreknowledge He seen that I would love Him, so He made a propitiation through His Own Son, that through Him I might become from a cocklebur to a grain of wheat. "Now, where am I at now?" I'm saved; I'm walking in the grace of God. "What does predestination look?" To destiny. "Where will He take me to, and where am I going?" That's got you. There you are.
EPHESIANS.PARALLELS.JOSHUA_ JEFF.IN AD.1 SUNDAY_ 60-0515E
109 Then He came down and taken upon Himself. And while He did that, He did that that He might save you who wants to be saved. Do you see what I mean? By foreknowledge, the infinite God, Who knowed all things, saw the Lamb, and He slayed the Lamb before the foundation of the world, and He put your name on the Lamb's Book of Life. And He seen the deceitfulness of Satan, what he would do. So He put your name on there. And He said that the antichrist would be so religious, so good, such a fine fellow, such a smart man, such a religious man, that he would deceive the very elected if it was possible. But it isn't... impossible, because their names were foreordained before the foundation of the world. By election He chose them, and by predestination they knowed where they are going. There you are.
ADOPTION_ JEFF.IN AD.PT.4 SUNDAY_ 60-0522E
89 How was our inheritance given to us, through what? Predestination. Predestination is foreknowledge. How did God know He could trust you to be a preacher? His foreknowledge. "Not he that willeth or he that runneth, or he... It's God that showeth mercy." That's right. Predestination, He knew what was in you. He knowed what was in you before you even come on the earth. He knowed what was in you before there was ever a earth for you to come on. That's--that's Him. That's the infinite God, the infinite. We're finite; we can only think finite.
FAITH.OF.ABRAHAM_ SAN.FERNANDO.CA FRIDAY_ 55-1118
E-19 And "predestination" is a hard word among a congregation of people, because predestination... Really "foreknowledge" is a better word. And predestination looks back to foreknowledge, and foreknowledge looks on to destiny. That God, being infinite, in the beginning knew the end from the beginning, therefore He knew what people would do, so He could foretell what would take place, for He knew what would be. Therefore He... Before Esau or Jacob, either one was born, God could say, "Esau I've hated, and Jacob I've loved," because He foreknew what they could be. He never made Esau the way he was. He wasn't willing that Esau would be that way, but Esau, by choice, God knew would take that way. So that's how He knows us today. He knows your heart. And if... You might be able to fool your neighbor; you might be able to fool your pastor; but you'll never be able to fool God, 'cause He knows your heart.
GOD'S.COVENANT.WITH.ABRAHAM_ SIOUX.FALLS.SD THURSDAY_ 56-0223
E-15 Now, Jesus didn't come to Calvary just for a haphazard thought, "Well, I'll die up there; perhaps maybe somebody will feel sorry for me and--and come down and get saved." No, no, God don't run His office like that. You don't run your office like that. Jesus come for one specific purpose: that was to redeem those that God foreknew would be redeemed. See?
Now, God's not willing that any should perish, but that all would come to repentance. But in order to be God, He had to know... Now, the word "predestinate," as is used in Ephesians 1:5, predestinate there, isn't a good word. It means in--in speaking of predestination to the people sometimes leads them to think that God just predestinated you to push you through a little pipe, or something. That's not right. Predestination looks back to foreknowledge. And foreknowledge looks to destiny.
GOD'S.COVENANT.WITH.ABRAHAM_ SIOUX.FALLS.SD THURSDAY_ 56-0223
E-16 Therefore, God being God before the foundation of the world knew that who would be saved and who would not. Romans 8, He could say that He hated Esau and loved Jacob before either child was born. For by foreknowledge He knowed what a little shyster that--that Esau would be, and how He would save Jacob. So therefore, by foreknowledge God knew those things (See?), foreknowledge.
So then, look now I'm basing something. Wish we had about three or four hours on this one subject, but we haven't; we just have to hit the high places. And notice, now by foreknowledge God knew, and He did say that there will be a Church.
JESUS.AROSE_ CHICAGO.IL THURSDAY_ 56-0405
E-6 As well stated, predestination looks back to foreknowledge, and foreknowledge looks on to destiny. See? And God in the beginning, could see all things the way it would happen. Therefore, He could tell, this will be this way, and that'll be that way, and this will be this way, and that that way, because He... By foreknowledge He wasn't willing that the left side would be wrong, that this would be... He didn't want that to happen. But being God, He knew it would happen that way. So therefore, He could foretell what would be. And He knew the end from the beginning. That wonderful? And to think that every borned again child of God tonight, has that privilege and assurance to know that God knoweth His own. See? That's right. God knoweth His own.
Last night preaching on Jacob's ladder, and the Lord willing one night this week, I want to speak on "The Expansion of Time," so, or "Expanding the Time," rather. And how that in the heavens God had His, the ladder hooked to His throne, and had it hooked unto earth in His Son Christ Jesus, and put us in between it. There's no way of getting away. That's all. He's just got. And then, besides, to be sure that we have a nice comfortable trip...
BOOK.OF.EXODUS.2_ CHICAGO.IL THURSDAY_ 55-1006E
E-19 The word "predestinate," that's not a good word to use. The word "foreknowledge" is better. Predestination looks back to foreknowledge and foreknowledge looks to destination. But God not making, set it in order, a little hole that you have to go through and can't go no other way; but God in order to be God, He knowed the end from the beginning, so He could predict it, and set things in order to happen.
WHERE.I.THINK.PENTECOST.FAILED_ SAN.FERNANDO.CA FRIDAY_ 55-1111
E-28 But if we'd only go back to find out when God made His first man, He made man in His Own image. And God is a Spirit, so He had to make spirit-man.
Now, the Word is used here in the 5th verse of "predestination," Predestinated, it's not a very good word for an evangelist or a minister to use, because it kinda confuses people when you say "predestinate." Predestination speaks--looks back to foreknowledge; foreknowledge looks to destination. Predestination goes back to foreknowledge; foreknowledge goes to destination.
In other words God didn't say, "Now, I'll make this man be this, and I'll make this man to be that." But in order to be God, He had to know the end from the beginning. So in order to foreknowledge that He knew, He could say, "This would happen, and that would happen," because He was God and knowed where everything would be placed. And therefore, He could ordain certain things for certain ages. You believe that? That--that's truly Scripture.
