were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of
things which do appear.

Abraham out of heaven the second time,

myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou
hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine

E-7 Jesus saying, "Have faith in
God," the book of Hebrews the 11th chapter said that faith is the
substance of things hoped for, and the evidence of things not seen. Now,
remember, it's just not a intellectual conception of
something; it is a substance. It's something that you
possess.

E-6 Now, some thinks that it's a mental
conception of the Word, but that is not right. Faith is a substance. Faith is
not a myth. Say... Faith is a substance of things hoped for; the evidence... To
have an evidence, it must be a substance. So it is not
just something that you imagine in your mind; it's something that absolutely,
you have. It's something that you possess in your own being. And what is it?
It's the evidence of things that you have hoped for. It's the evidence of
things you do not have as yet, but you have the authority of God to say that
you have it. It's an evidence,
something you have in your heart.

E-7 Now, it's--it's not something that you just
kindly push yourself to. I've noticed so much of that in my meetings,
that people try to work themself up into
something, to make them believe. Now, you can't do that. You're just
beating the air. But faith is something that's just as calm and settled as it
can be. It's taking God at His Word and having the assurance in your heart, that God is able to keep what He has said that He
would do and will perform everything that He said He would do.
Now, I've noticed it many times, people think they must be
prayed for. That's all right. We should pray for each other. Or that their
hands might be... or some evangelist's hands, must be
ministered. That's all right. That'll bring contacts and so forth of faith. But
real, unadulterated faith is taking God at His Word. That's the main thing.

29 In Hebrews, the Book of Hebrews, the 11th
chapter, we are told that faith is the substance of things hoped for. Now,
here's where many people fail to receive their healing, or what they're asking
for, because they take faith to be something that it is not. See? They don't
believe it. It--it's... It--it's not a imagination. It
is a actual substance.
Now, listen close. See, it is not what you imagine. It's just as real to you as any sense of your body will
declare anything else. It's just as real as my eye says, "This is a piece
of paper." It's just as real as to say that, that that is a light. It's
just as real as to say, "I feel my coat." It's just as
real as to--as I hear that baby talking there, or making its noise. See? Just that real as music playing. It's just as real as I
taste anything in my mouth. It is that real, only you can't show it to somebody
else. You have it alone. Amen. It's yours. Faith is the
substance (See?); its not just a myth. So many people
come...
Now, these are real deep lessons, and I'll catch the top of it,
then you dig down in it. See?

33 Notice, it is something
that you possess; not imagination, if you really have it. It's just as real to
you as any other thing that could be. It's just as real as--as you know
that--that you're riding in a automobile. It's just as
real as you know that you're setting in a church. It's just as real as you hear
my voice. It is a substance, not an imagination, not an emotion; but something
that you have; and it comes to you by hearing the Word of God and That only. "Faith cometh by hearing, and hearing the Word of God."
That puts it back to where your faith then is not in some individual.
It's not in a man. It's not in a organization. It's
not in a group of people. It's in God, because God is the Word. See? Your faith
is in God. Faith cometh by hearing the Word of God.
Then when God, by His Word, not by what somebody else did,
somebody else said, but by what God's Word said... He said, "Let every
man's word be a lie, and Mine be true."

E-48 All right. Now, you see what faith is. It's
something... Now look friends; I know that all of you are, at least know this:
This body is controlled by five senses. Is that right? All right, its got five
senses is everything that controls this human body. Now, listen real close, and
give me your attention now. The sense, five senses, is this right? See, taste,
feel, smell, hear, is that right? Them five senses
control the entire human body. Is that true? See, taste, feel, smell, and hear.
Now, there's none of them that declare faith. Faith is the
sixth sense, known to some people as you want to as mental
telepathy or--or whatever you want or wish to call it, many of the call it
names, but to me its faith. And that is in and above all five senses of the
human body. You see what I mean? [End of record--Ed.]... great...
Faith is the only direct and positive sense, and it's the
sixth sense. Faith is more than sight. Faith is more than feeling. You do not
feel faith. You don't taste faith. You don't smell faith. You don't see faith.
Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

53 God gave those senses, but they're given to
you as a gift. And it depends on how you, what you yield these senses to, will
be the way that your life is controlled: the way you yield those five senses,
you're... What you see, what you hear, what you taste, smell, or feel, whatever
those senses are yielded to, they will dominate you.
And we are grateful to God that we have the five senses, but by no
means was these five senses given to you to guide you. They were given to you
for earthly contact. But there was given you the sixth sense, and that sixth
sense is--belongs only to the Christian. And you cannot have this sixth
sense until you become a Christian, is the only way that you can ever have any
more than the five natural senses for the natural person. The sixth sense is
better known, to the Christian, as faith. It's the one that governs and guides
you, and it is superior to all the other senses. It's a superior to all of the
senses, the other five senses.
SUPER.SENSE_ JEFF.IN V-20 N-7
SUNDAY_ 59-1227E
57 And the super Sense is the Holy
Spirit, the faith of God that dwells in you. And if you'll let the five senses
be yielded to the sixth sense, it'll guide you and bring all the other five
senses under control of that super sense. For it's so far above
the natural sense, as the spiritual man is above the natural; it's as far and
as high as the heavens is above the natural man and his five senses. It makes
you believe things that you cannot see. It makes you act where you do not think
the five senses would ever think about it. The devil can get into these five
senses and lie to you, but he cannot touch that super sense. That's far beyond
his reach. That come from God. It's called faith.
Faith is that great thing.
SUPER.SENSE_ JEFF.IN V-20 N-7
SUNDAY_ 59-1227E
168 It was that sixth sense that
raised Jesus Christ from the dead after He had laid in
the ground, because He believed the Word of God. Said,
"Destroy this body, and I'll raise it up again on the third day. For David said, "'I'll not leave My Holy One to see
corruption, neither will I leave His soul in hell.'" It was that
super sense. Cast down the reasonings of these
senses. Believe the super sense, the sense of faith, that
Jesus Christ gives.
By that same sense, God spoke when there was nothing.
What is that sense? That super sense is God, the faith of God in you, the part
of God that comes into you, gives you the super sense. By that same super
sense, God framed the world together with things which was not and did not
appear. He spoke His Word and believed His Word, and a world shook into
existence. Glory.
