143-2 SMYRNAEAN.CHURCH.AGE  -  CHURCH.AGE.BOOK CPT.4

In every age, (and every age is the age of the Holy Ghost for the true believer)--I say, in every age the evidence was the same. Those who had the Spirit, the Teacher, heard the Word, and that Spirit in them took the Word and taught it (revealed it) to them; and they were of the group that heard the messenger and his message and took it and lived it.

WE.WOULD.SEE.JESUS_  SASKATOON.SK  THURSDAY_  57-0516

E-11    And that's been my theme through the years. I read that same Scripture when I was here before. And I hope to read it until death shall take me from the earth. Because, I do solemnly believe that with all my heart, that Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He's called in the Bible, "The Alpha and Omega; He that Was, Which is, and Shall Come." That makes Him the same yesterday, today, and forever. "He that Was, He that Is, and Shall come," just the same. He never changes. We change; time change; but God never changes.

I was having my dinner today, or I think you call it your lunch. I always miss out if I call that lunch and call supper dinner, because I been used to used to having breakfast, dinner, and supper. And if I call this lunch, then I feel like I've missed my dinner somewhere my supper somewhere, along the road. So believe it or not, I was with a Catholic priest having dinner today. And we were talking about the--how that times had changed so much in the past few years.

WHY.LITTLE.BETHLEHEM_  PHOENIX.AZ  V-9 N-9  SATURDAY_  63-1214

11    Now, this morning I have thought about speaking here to this chapter, which Phoenix has always been a place on my heart. I like Phoenix. I was here when I was a little boy, out here at Wickenburg just above, and lived down here at Sixteenth and Henshaw. It was a desert then. But I see it's right in the metropolitan, and, well, really in the heart of the city. Goes to show that there's a changing time, changing. But there's one thing I want to speak on this morning is the unchanging One, that's God. God, in His program, His Word, It never changes. Times change, men change, systems change. But God never changes, He ever remains the same.

MIGHTY.GOD.UNVEILED_  PHIL.PA  V-3 N-22  MONDAY_  64-0629

5-1    Back in the Old Testament we find out that God veiled Himself from unbelievers. God has a very odd way of dealing with people. He hides Himself from the unbeliever and reveals Himself to the believer. God does that. Jesus thanked the Father that He had hid these things from the wise and prudent and would reveal it to babes such as would learn. So we find that God never changes in His nature, and He's always doing His work the same. We find out in Malachi 3 that He said, "I am God, and I change not." So He works in the same principle all the time.

66-3 EPHESIAN.CHURCH.AGE  -  CHURCH.AGE.BOOK CPT.3

The key given me of the Lord whereby I was able to determine the messenger for each age is a most Scriptural one. In fact it might be called the Keystone of the Bible. It is the revelation that God never changes, and that His ways are as unchangeable as He is. In Heb. 13:8 it says "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and for ever". Ecclesiastes 3:14,15, "I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before Him. That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past." Here it is: an unchanging God with unchanging ways. What He did at the FIRST He will have to keep on doing until it is done for the LAST time. There will never be a change. Apply that to the Church Ages. The kind of man that God chose for the first age, and how God manifested in that man's ministry, would be the example for all other ages. What God did in the first church age is what He wants to do in all other ages.

SEVEN.CHURCH.AGES_  JEFF.IN  V-26 N-2  WEDNESDAY_  54-0512

191    Now, these Seven Church Ages begin with Ephesus, and 'Tira, Pergamos, and on through. And the Holy Spirit, which is the Oil of God, fell on the Church at the beginning in Ephesus, the Ephesian Church, which was the Church of grace. You Baptist ought to holler "amen" there. And then on the Church of grace, which in Ephesus, and the Ephesian letter sets us out, who we was before the foundation of the world. It fell there, and they received the Holy Spirit.

But wait a minute, my Baptist brother, how did they receive It? How did they get It? By joining the church? Never. They got It by the baptism of the Holy Spirit. You say, "Yes, Brother Branham; that's right." What happened to you when It fell on you?

Notice, the same Fire that burnt the oil there in Ephesus, burnt it in 'Tira; the same Fire burnt there, burnt in Pergamos, burnt on down through to the Laodicean Church Age. The same Holy Spirit, lit by the same God, by the same Fire, and the Fire that fell on Pentecost has lit the candle, the Church, through every age, right on down now.

SEVEN.CHURCH.AGES_  JEFF.IN  V-26 N-2  WEDNESDAY_  54-0512

271    Oh, my dear brother, my dear sister, to Him that's able to keep you from falling, to Him that's able to hold your heart in grace, may He shed His blessings upon you. May you never forget that we're living in the last days of the last church age, where it's predicted to be a lukewarm church age, just halfhearted about It. And stop being halfhearted. Really come to Christ, with all your heart.

I ain't telling you what church to join. That don't have... God will never ask you that in the judgment. No, sir. He don't care what church you belong.

He wants you; it's an individual. And you must be borned again and receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit, or you're gone. See? You're just playing church; you're just impersonating until you actually have an experience of being borned again.

And now, Him that stood there, and the Seven Golden Candlesticks, through the Seven Church Ages; and the same Holy Spirit that lit the Church there, lights It over here.

OUR.HOPE.IS.IN.GOD_  NEW.YORK.NY  SATURDAY_  51-0929

E-10    The Holy Spirit was upon the Church at Pentecost, come right down through the age, and right on down through the age to the Lutheran, Baptist, Methodist, and on down through, on into this age here. It's still the same Holy Spirit. When people's faith get up into a place they'll get the blessings, to realize it's theirs, then the same operation of the Holy Spirit will be operating in the Church like It did back there, just the same. Now, listen to this closely:

WHAT.HOLY.GHOST.WAS.GIVEN.FOR_  JEFF.IN  V-4 N-3  THURSDAY_  59-1217

50    Same Holy Spirit that saved the Lutherans, that sanctified the Methodists, that baptized the Pentecostals, is now setting in order the coming of the Lord Jesus. When it'll be so powerful, that Body will come into this group of church that'll draw the rest of them from the grave. There'll be a resurrection. That's what the Holy Ghost is for.

What is the Holy Ghost? Without us they cannot be made perfect. They lived in one day under that; we live in another day. "When the enemy comes in like a flood, I'll--the Spirit of God will raise a standard against it." See?

SARDISEAN.CHURCH.AGE_  JEFF.IN  ROJC 329-372  FRIDAY_  60-1209

91    And Jesus was anointed with the Holy Ghost, went about doing good. Is that right? And the same Holy Spirit was upon Jesus, came right back into the church on the day of Pentecost, comes right back into the next age, the next age, the next age. And what is It? The same and one-self Holy Spirit. Oh, don't you see God above us, in the Father; God with us, in the Son; God in us, in the Holy Ghost. It's three offices, and not three gods. See? Those three titles, Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, belongs to one Name: Jesus Christ. All right.

SARDISEAN.CHURCH.AGE_  JEFF.IN  ROJC 329-372  FRIDAY_  60-1209

99    Then if that was Christ's Holy Spirit came on the day of Pentecost that did those things, it's Christ's Holy Spirit been pushed out here, Christ's Holy Spirit still holding in here, Christ's Holy Spirit still holding here, on down here and to the end of the world. The same Holy Spirit that filled Paul with the Holy Ghost and the things that he done, will fill this one, Irenaeus full of the Holy Ghost, fill Martin full of the Holy Ghost, fill the rest of them full of the Holy Ghost, and It fills you and I full of the Holy Ghost, and it's a Pentecostal blessing from one church age to the other: Alpha and Omega, the End and the Beginning, and All, Root and Offspring of David, Morning Star, Rose of Sharon, Lily of the Valley, whatevermore, Father, Son, Holy Ghost, He that Was, Which Is, and Shall Come, the Alpha, Omega, All, All in all. Oh, my. That would make me sing a song.

REV.CHAP.4.PT.3.THRONE.MERCY_  JEFF.IN  ROJC 645-716  SUNDAY_  61-0108

125    Now, "voices," the voices of the seven trumpets, there was voices of the seven stars, seven messengers. But now watch here:

... and seven lamps... before the throne, which are the seven spirits of God.

"Seven lamps..." Let's draw a little bit here: the throne, the holy place, the congregation. Right here was one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, seven stars, seven lamps, seven messengers, seven Spirits; not altogether meaning that God's in seven Spirits, but seven manifestations of the same Holy Spirit.

Where's the Holy Spirit? Here at the throne, shining out in each church age. This church age is reflecting back this a-way the voices of God, Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today, and forever. See, seven... There was voices and seven lamps on fire, seven Spirits--which are the seven Spirits of God."

SIGN.OF.THIS.TIME_  NY.NY  V-18 N-8  WEDNESDAY_  63-1113

113    And now, we've left the Pentecostal age. Now, we are coming to where like in the pyramid. Not pyramid doctrines now, but I mean like as the pyramid. The Headstone when it comes to fit, it's got to be honed. There's got to be a ministry in the Church, the true Church of the living God to where when the Headstone comes, Christ, or the ministry of Christ, and Christ will fit right in together perfectly. Then that brings back the redeemed to take the whole House of God to glory; the Methodist, Baptist, and Presbyterian, through the great reformation ages, that come out and gave their lives in persecutions and things for the Kingdom of God. But that Stone is coming. Yes, sir. It certainly will come. God will send it. It'll fit all the Building together upon it. See?

Now, we see these signs, as we see the ministry from Christ beginning to narrow up now to the complete ministry of Christ in the Fulness of the Holy Spirit. Under Luther it was same Holy Spirit, justification; then sanctification under Wesley, the messages; then the baptism of the Holy Spirit, making three. Three, not three steps of grace, but three stations, I might call it.

CONFIRMATION.OF.THE.COMMISSION_  TEMPE.AZ  MONDAY_  62-0122

E-122    Now, the Bible says (Now the ministers will witness this), the Bible says that Jesus Christ is a High Priest right now, that can be touched by the feeling of our infirmities (Is that true?), a High Priest that can be touched by the feeling of our infirmities. He is right now. Well, then, if He is a High Priest that can be touched by the feeling of our infirmities, how would that High Priest act when He was touched?

If He's the same Jesus that He was back there, He'd act the same way. He can't change His ways. He can't. If He said back there, "Well, I saved them because of--that they believed on Me; but today I--I'm going to save them because they got a lot of money," He can't do that. He's got to ever remain with His first attitude. See? When God ever makes a decision, it's perfect. It can never be changed no more. God never changes His program. See?

248-5 SARDISEAN.CHURCH.AGE  -  CHURCH.AGE.BOOK CPT.7

To begin with, we know for a certainty that these verses are not teaching a new and contrary doctrine to John 4:24a "God is A (one) Spirit." But this is like I Corinthians 12:8-11 wherein we find ONE Spirit manifesting Himself in NINE ways. Thus we know that the seven Spirits of God mean it is the one and same Spirit coming forth in a sevenfold way. Now in Revelation 4:5 these same seven Spirits are called 'lamps of fire burning' before the Lord. Since John always used nothing but Old Testament symbols in the Revelation we go to the Old Testament and find from Proverbs 20:27 that "the spirit of man is the lamp of the Lord." These seven Spirits are found to be associated with man. John the Baptist in John 5:35 was called a 'burning light' which should actually be translated as 'burning lamp.' Again in Revelation 5:6 the seven Spirits are identified as seven eyes. In Zechariah 4:10, "For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven, they are the eyes of the Lord." It is very evident that the word, 'they' refers to men. Thus we see that the eyes of the Lord in this instance are men--of course they will be anointed men, full of the Holy Ghost, for God's ministries are not in the power of men but of the Holy Ghost. Putting our Scriptural discoveries together it is evident that the seven Spirits of God refer to the continuous ministry of the same Holy Spirit in the lives of seven men with whom God identifies Himself very closely. They are His eyes, and they are His lamps. Who these seven men are can easily be seen because the next phrase calls them the seven stars which are already known to us as the seven messengers to the seven ages. How beautiful that is. See, the star was meant to reflect light at night, for the sun has gone. Just so the messenger (typified as a star) to each age was to reflect the light of the Son. They all did this by the Holy Spirit.

HOW.CAN.I.OVERCOME_  JEFF.IN  V-4 N-12  SUNDAY_  63-0825M

46    The people so live--people can live a clean, holy life, not be sinful, adulterers, and drinkers, and liars, gamblers; they can live above that and still not with it. This is a--the age of life, personal Life of Christ, where the--the chemicals of His Body, the--the what was in Him; first, under Justification, the water baptism; second, under the new birth of Wesley, sanctification which cleanses; and thirdly, under the baptism of the Holy Spirit, putting that sanctified vessel into service... See? The word "sanctify" means--it's a compound Greek word which means "cleaned and set aside for service." Set aside for service, now the Holy Spirit puts it in service. See?
