06-1119am - Faith Pt 9 (Circumstantial Evidence)- Samuel Dale
HEBREWS 11:1
1 ¶ Now faith is the substance of things
hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
HEBREWS 11:2
2 For by it the elders obtained a good
report.
HEBREWS 11:3
3 Through faith we understand that the worlds
were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of
things which do appear.

E-6 Now, some thinks that it's a mental
conception of the Word, but that is not right. Faith is a substance. Faith is
not a myth. Say... Faith is a substance of things hoped for; the evidence... To have an evidence, it must be
a substance. So it is not just something that you imagine in your mind;
it's something that absolutely, you have. It's something that you possess in
your own being. And what is it? It's the evidence of things that you have hoped
for. It's the evidence of things you do not have as yet, but you have the
authority of God to say that you have it. It's an evidence,
something you have in your heart.

75 Now. "The works that I do..." God
is in His church to continue His works. That's why He sent the Holy Ghost. Now,
He knowed that. He--He knowed
it wouldn't be--it couldn't be done that way, so was it by otherwise... So He
had to send... The Father sent the Son, put all that's in the Son in you. And
the same works that He did, the same very works now that Jesus did, you'll do
also, the church. Wouldn't you like to do the works of God? Jesus said,
"If you want to do the works of God, believe on Me."
How you believe on Him? You can't do it till you got the
Holy Ghost, 'cause no man can say He is the Son of God. You're saying what
somebody else said,
"The Bible said that He's the Son of God; I believe the
Bible." All right. "The Bible says He's the
Son of God; I believe the Bible. The pastor says He's the Son of God; I believe
the pastor. Mama says He's the Son of God; I believe Mama. My friend says He's
the Son of God; I believe my friend." But the only way that I can say He's
the Son of God, is when the Holy Ghost comes in and bears record of Itself. Then I know He's the Son of God.
No man can call Jesus "Christ," only by the Holy Ghost.
There. No man speaking by the Spirit of God called Jesus
accursed or say He was something that day and something else today.
That's makes Him weak and faultry. No,
sir. He's the same yesterday, today, and forever. Any true spirit will
bear record of that. All right.

76 He said, "You can't go nowhere. You're going to get caught. You boys tell them that
I was free; I--I didn't mean this. I--I was setting here; I'm a innocent party." And about that time the police had
them.
They pleaded the case, and he said, "I first thought evil of
the prosecutor, because he said..." Here's the
questions he said: "Is this your car?"
He said, "Yes, sir. But I..."
He said, "Answer my questions." Oh, brother, the devil
has a way of doing it. He said, "Answer my question." Said, "Is this your car?"
He said, "Yes, sir."
"Is that your license number?"
"Yes, sir"'
He said, "Was you up there in that lot?"
He said, "Well, I tell you..."
He said, "Answer my questions."
He said, "Yes, sir."
He said, "There you are." And on
circumstantial evidence they give him ten years--sent the other boys for life.
Now, he said, "See, brother, I just got in the wrong crowd.
It's nobody to blame but me." And that's right. Now, he's got ten years to
let off the pressure in. I prayed for him, Brother Wood there and I--we was
setting out on the water--and took the boy by the hand and prayed for him out
on the water, that God would give him a parole. And I'm still praying for him
that God will.
What is it? Pressure, innocent, a man innocent, Now,
that man should have a chance.
