22-1 Patience, and so forth, there's a mockery
of it, a pretending to be, a nature given faith, a nature
given virtue. There's a nature given temperance. And all these
things are nature given.
And the biggest part of our faith is mental faith. By
hearing the Word it brings us to a mental recognition of God. But
if this coming from above, oh, brother, if it ever strikes this, there is a
godly, spiritual faith. Then what does that faith do? That faith
recognizes only the Word. No matter what anything else says, it only recognizes
the Word, because "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with
God, and the Word was God. (And the Word's still God.)
And the Word was made flesh and dwelled among us." And when the word Itself is pouring into our faith, our mental faith becomes a
spiritual revelation. "And upon this foundation I'll build My
Church," (See?), not upon a mental conception of church joining, a mental
conception of that, but upon the revelation. When them
streams of grace has poured into that mental faith that you've got, then upon
this, a spiritual revelation, "I'll build My Church and the gates of hell
can't prevail against it." See? That shows they would be against it, but
it'll never prevail. Oh, what a glorious thing.

E-44 You see what I mean? Now, I've often
wondered why He said mustard seed. I might drop this thought. Mustard seed is
the smallest among all seed. That's right. But there isn't nothing will mix
with mustard seed. It's all mustard. You can't mix it with kale or nothing and
make it grow. It's all mustard. If you've got that much faith, all faith, not
mixed up with something else, ask what you will; it'll be given to you. But it
can't be wavering; its got to be genuine mustard, if
you know what I'm speaking of. All right, and I said, "How much more would
it take?"
"Why," she said, "Looky
here, I want to ask you something." She said, "Did God
move that or did the devil move that?"
I said, "Neither one moved that."
She said, "Then how in the world did it move?"
I said, "I moved it."
She said, "Well, you're fifteen feet or better away from
it."
I said, "No, its
my faith that moved it." See? If you ask
anything and don't doubt it... See what I mean?

E-33 Here the other night I saw on a
telecast of a man with psychic mental faith set a glass of water and stood back
and kept concentrating on that glass of water till it bursted
it, just by concentration, watching that glass of water. And the glass cracked
and the water run out: just pure mental consecration.
Why? That's his fibers. That's his makeup. If he can do that--got a power in
him by mental thinking that can break a glass of water,
and him being a sinner, that shows that there was something made in that man.
He's in a fallen--fallen, perverted condition. But if that man can only get
back to God, and let God get into him, why, with that power turned loose of the

It is true that someone might have enough mental faith to
rise up out of a wheelchair or get up off of a cot or a stretcher, but when it
come to discerning a spirit perfectly, that takes You, God. That's only You. The greatest miracle that we
seen in the--the--the ages is that. But You promised it; it was a sign that You was going to give to
the Gentiles just before their closing day.
