I've seen people come to the platform. I'd say, "Do you
believe?"
"Oh,
I've got all faith, Brother Branham."
Now, I
don't mean to be belittling them. I respect that. But they're supposed to be up
here, and here they are way down here. But do you know what it is? It's hope
instead of faith. Faith does the job right now. Hope hopes for it, but faith is
the product. Faith really does it. See, we have lots of hope, but not much
faith. So we want to change from hope today to positive faith.
And there's only one way we can get positive faith: that's by positive thinking
of positive things.
Now, for instance, what if some of you women today went home and or
tomorrow. I
wouldn't think you'd want to do it today. But tomorrow, you go and plug up your
electric iron to do your ironing and there's no current. Why, would you throw
up your hands and say, "Alas and alack; there's no such a thing as
electricity." Well, certainly not. You've got your wires crossed up
somewhere. There's plenty of electricity; you just haven't got it connected
right. Is that right?...?... when this one was prayed
and why didn't you get healed? "There's no such a thing as Divine healing." That's just as senseless as the other
is. Surely. Others are getting healed, why can't you?
See? You just... It's the wires breaks down... The Holy Spirit will only...

70 They would have called It some
kind of a working of an evil spirit against their positive thinking. You hear
so much today about positive thinking: you just put your mind on
anything, and think positive on it. The Devil can do that. There's only one
thing that rules over all, and that's God's Word. If you're thinking contrary
to the Word; forget your thinking. Think on the Word.
"Messiah,"
they thought, "would not be found in such a place, a mess as that."
Could you
imagine a fine, great high priest, or clergyman, all polished in theology,
would come down to a stable full of manure, and accept the message of a poor,
humble shepherd that had no education, and would come, say "See, I can
prove it to you; this is the Baby; this is the Messenger"?
And you
know what them people would've said? "The man is honest; he's very sincere
in what He's saying, but he's absolutely wrong."

Just for a little text, if I should call it that, I want to speak for a
moment or two on the word of "Expectation."
We always
get what we expect. When people expect anything, well then they usually get
what you look for. It's the mental attitude that you have.
Remember this, and never forget it. The right mental attitude towards
any promise of God will bring it to pass, the right mental attitude towards any
promise of God.
It
doesn't take gifts of healing to heal sick people, any
person in here has a right to meet Satan anywhere, if you're a Christian, and
defeat him on any grounds that he could stand on.
When
Jesus Christ was here on earth, and in Him dwelled the fullness of the Godhead
bodily, all the great powers of God was in His Son, Christ Jesus. For the
Scripture tells us that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself. All things was delivered
unto Him, though He spoke nothing but what the Father told Him. He healed no
one but what He first saw being healed. For He said, "Verily, I say unto
you, The Son can do nothing in Himself, but what He sees the Father
doing." That was

Now, what does the farmer do? He sows the wheat. Well, look for the
harvest. The next morning, what if he goes out there and uncovers it, say,
"Why, it ain't sprouted. There's nothing to it.
So I--I ain't going to have no wheat." Well, if
he isn't going to have any wheat... If he keeps digging it up, looking at it,
he will never have wheat. You just sow it and let it alone. Amen.
There it
is. It's up to God to bring it forth. It's up to God to send the rain. And it's
you to accept God on His Word. Hallelujah. And it's up to God to bring His Word
to pass. No man's worth any more than his word, and God's not worth a bit more
than what His Word is.
And I say
this with a challenge in faith, that every promise of God will be brought to pass if you take
the right mental attitude towards it. That's right. Look at it.
Believe it.

Now, many times... Now, these may seem strange. Everybody be real
reverent. If you can get the person... Just what I was trying to do to the woman, was get her in
the right mental attitude; she wouldn't have to be prayed for. The right mental
attitude towards any promise of God will bring it to pass. Do you believe that?
The Word
is a Seed (Is that right?) that a Sower sowed in the
ground. And every Seed will bring forth of its kind. If you need salvation, the
Seed's here. If you need healing, here's the Seed in the Word. The Word of God
is a Seed. Put it in your heart. Don't dig it up every morning to see if it's
sprouted, put it in there and leave it there. It's God's business to bring
forth the harvest. You just leave it there; water it by faith and praise every
day thanking God for it. All right.
