15-3 REVELATION.OF.JESUS.CHRIST  -  CHURCH.AGE.BOOK CPT.1

Now remember this. Christ in the True Church is a continuation of the Book of Acts. But the Book of Revelation shows how that the antichrist spirit would come into the church and defile it, making it lukewarm, formal and powerless. It exposes Satan, revealing his works (attempted destruction of God's people and the discrediting of God's word) right down to the time he is cast into the lake of fire. He fights that. He cannot stand it. He knows that if the people get the TRUE REVELATION of the TRUE CHURCH and what she is, what she stands for and that SHE CAN DO THE GREATER WORKS, she will be an invincible army. If they get a true revelation of the two spirits within the framework of the Christian church, and by God's Spirit discern and withstand the antichrist spirit, Satan will be powerless before her. He will be as definitely thwarted today as when Christ withstood his every effort to gain power over Him in the desert. Yes, Satan hates revelation. But we love it. With true revelation in our lives, the gates of hell cannot prevail against us, but we will prevail over them.

12-2 REVELATION.OF.JESUS.CHRIST  -  CHURCH.AGE.BOOK CPT.1

The scribe (not author) of this book is St. John the divine. Historians agree that he lived the last part of his life in Ephesus, though at the time of the writing of this book he was on the Isle of Patmos. It is not the life story of John, but it is the Revelation of Jesus Christ in the future church ages. In verse three it is called a prophecy and that is actually what it is.

13-1

This book is usually termed the Revelation of Saint John, but that is incorrect. It is the Revelation of Jesus Christ given to John for Christians of all ages. It is the only book in the entire Bible that is written by Jesus Himself, through personally appearing to a scribe.

13-2

It is the last book of the Bible, yet it tells the beginning and the end of the dispensations of the Gospel.

13-3

Now the Greek word for revelation is "apocalypse" which means "unveiling". This unveiling is perfectly described in the example of a sculptor unveiling his work of statuary, exposing it to the onlooker. It is an uncovering, revealing what was previously hidden. Now the uncovering is not only the revelation of the Person of Christ, but it is THE REVELATION OF HIS FUTURE WORKS IN THE ONCOMING SEVEN CHURCH AGES.

76    Now, the title describes the character.

The Revelation of Jesus Christ,...

Not the revelation of Saint John the Divine, but the Revelation of Jesus Christ the Son of God...

Now, the Greek word for revelation is the "apocalypse," which means "the unfolding." And I was taking that word and searching it; it means... The "apocalypse" is to... Like a sculpture has made a great statue, and he's got it covered by a veil. And then he goes and tears back this veil and reveals what he has behind the veil. It's an uncovering.

And this Book is not the uncovering of, so much, the Person of Jesus Christ (yet it certainly speaks of His Deity and His sevenfold Personage, and also of the things that He is, like Priest, King, and so forth), but it is the revealing of the future of His works in His seven church ages that's coming on. It...

REVELATION.CHAPTER.ONE_  JEFF.IN  ROJC 9-67  SUNDAY_  60-1204M

80    When our Lord was on earth, the disciples asked Him and said, "Master, will You at this time restore the kingdom back to Israel?"

And Jesus said that, "It's not for you to know this hour or time." And no one would know, said even the Son, as yet, did not know." But after His death, burial, and resurrection, and ascension into glory, He receives from God the future of the church. Then He returned back to bring this Message to the church, and this message of His coming and the condition of His churches down through the age.

He could not do it before His death, burial, and resurrection, because He had not yet knew it. But did you notice how the Scripture reads here?

The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave unto him... (Christ),...

How that God the Father gave the revelation to His Son Jesus Christ. And He sent His Angel to John to signify these things which was--which was, which is, and which shall be. Oh, it's set beautifully.

16-1 REVELATION.OF.JESUS.CHRIST  -  CHURCH.AGE.BOOK CPT.1

You will recall that I mentioned at the beginning of this message that this Book we are studying is the actual revelation of Jesus, Himself, in the church and His work in the future ages. Then I mentioned that it takes the Holy Spirit to give us revelation or we will fail to get it. Bringing these two thoughts together you will see that it won't take just ordinary study and thinking to make this Book real. It is going to take the operation of the Holy Ghost. That means this Book can't be revealed to anyone but a special class of people. It will take one with prophetic insight. It will require the ability to hear from God. It will require supernatural instruction, not just a student comparing verse with verse, though that is good. But a mystery requires the teaching of the Spirit or it never becomes clear. How we need to hear from God and lay ourselves open and become yielded to the Spirit to hear and know.

TOKEN.THE_  JEFF.IN  V-2 N-19  SUNDAY_  63-0901M

57-1    And what Jesus begin to do in Galilee, He continues to do now, through His display of the Token of the Holy Spirit back upon the church. For it was not the acts of the apostles, it was the acts of the Holy Ghost in the apostles, and that was a Token.

They said they had to take heed to Peter and James, as they--Peter and John--as they passed through the gate called Beautiful, seeing they were ignorant. They might say, "hit, hain't, tote, fetch, carry, I'll tell you 'bout this," See? They might've had all kinds of grammar that they couldn't understand. They might not have knowed the difference, all the--the--all the mathematics of the Scripture, but they had to notice they'd been with Jesus. They had displayed that Token, because the same Spirit that was upon Him before His crucifixion, was upon them after the resurrection. Amen. [Brother Branham claps--Ed.]
