I TIMOTHY 3:16
16 And without
controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh,
justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on
in the world, received up into glory.

E-37 We
know now He was born of the virgin. At the age of--of thirty years old He was
baptized by John the baptizer; went into the wilderness, and was tempted of the
devil for forty days and nights, and came out and started His ministry. The
first thing we notice after He come out, well, John saw a sign over Him like a
light. A form of a Dove came down from heaven, and a voice coming from that form
of Dove (the Spirit of God), a voice coming from the Spirit of God, which
the--the Dove was the Spirit of God, saying, "This is My beloved Son in Whom I am well
pleased." Now, that's the--the King James version. Now, in the original version
is something the same thing. It says, "in whom I'm pleased to dwell in," and God
dwelt in Christ. We know that.
He said, "It's not Me that doeth
the works. It's My Father that dwelleth in Me, He doeth the works." St. John
5:19, He said, "Verily, verily, I say unto you, the Son can do nothing in
himself, but what He sees the Father doing: that doeth the Son
likewise."

493-5 {229} Now, in there it says, "This is my beloved
Son, in Whom I am well pleased." You see? Now, that's wrote in the actual form
of the Greek, putting verb before adverb; but you notice here, it'd actually be
this... Now, just take the Word. See? The Bible says, in the
translation of St. James here: "This is My beloved Son in Whom I'm pleased to
dwell." But actually, if we'd say it like we'd say it today: "This is My beloved Son in Whom I'm pleased
to dwell in." You'd turn it around. See, see? "This is My beloved Son
in Whom I'm pleased to dwell." See? Now, we'd say it today: "This is My beloved
Son in Whom I'm pleased to dwell in," (See?) same word just turns it around.
See?

Now, in Matthew 3:16, I'd like to read 16 and 17:
And Jesus, when he was
baptized, went straightway up out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened
unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon
him:
And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well
pleased. (In other words, "in Whom I'm pleased to dwell
in")

Also used in Matthew 3:16, again when God's wrath was on the earth. And there
was no way, the darkest of night, midnight, the churches had got things in such
a twist till there was no way to get out of it. And there was false teachers,
all kinds of things coming up, all kinds of professions coming up, but God used
a dove again. It pleased Him; His Son
Jesus had pleased Him so well, that He identified Him.
Now, they
couldn't believe that this Baby that was born down there in that stable in a
manger of hay, before his father and mother, supposingly to be, was married.
They couldn't imagine God using anything like that. So He had to be identified to the world;
and that day down on the river, when He walked down to prove Hisself God's
Masterpiece (that I talked about this morning)... When He was obedient to walk
into the water...

But a lamb is so gentle that it can be led. And that's the reason that God
represented Christ as the Lamb and Himself as the Dove. And on the day that John baptized Jesus at
the river of Jordan, one of the greatest events that had ever taken place, taken
place right there. Notice, how beautiful. The Lamb, the meekest of
all the creatures of the earth, and the Dove, the meekest of all the fowls of
heaven, now, that's the only way that they could ever be united. It's the only
way that the Dove would ever come on the Lamb. Now, when the La--Dove came down,
John saw Jesus, and he said, "Behold the Lamb of God, that take away the sins of
the world." And John said, "I bare record, seeing the Spirit of God like a Dove
coming down, and abiding on Him." Hallelujah. There you are. The Dove and the Lamb united together.
That's when God and Man became one. That's when heaven and earth embraced each
other. Hallelujah. That's when God was made flesh...?... it; that's when God
came down from the Spirit form and was made a Man and dwell among us. That's
when all eternity embraced each other. That's when the human fallen race of
Adam's people and Jehovah God and every angel come together, when God and man
was made one on that great memorial day when John baptized Jesus. Now, what if
they would've been a wolf? The sweet cooing of the Dove would've never been able
to stand by the wolf.

out...?... the immortals first... How he would sing and walk back and forth on
the limb consoling me, and I'd listen to the sweet music as he cooed to me into
the setting of the sun.
God, when He came down... Many people bypass this Scripture, but to
me it's one of the outstanding Scriptures of the Bible, that when heaven and
earth embraced, when God came down in the form of a dove and went upon His Son
in form of a Lamb.
Why did He choose the lamb and the dove? It's
because the dove could not abide on nothing else but a lamb. Their natures are
the same. That's the reason the two could get along together. Their natures were
meek, humble, lowly, and that's why they could dwell together. When God and Christ became one, when the
Dove came down on the Lamb, heaven and earth kissed each other. God and man was
reconciled together. Why, it's one of the greatest moments the world ever had,
that when man and God was reconciled together. The Dove and the Lamb came
together.

E-41 That was the greatest
event this world has ever seen and will see, until Christ and the church has
united together again. That is when God and Man became One. Heaven
and earth embraced each other, and kissed each other, and settled the sin
question forever is when the Dove and the Lamb united together. One of the
greatest... That's when the price... When the greatest reconciliation that was
ever made, is when God and Christ united as One. And friend, let me tell you
something. We are God's lambs. He likened us unto His sheep.
Now, what... As
soon as this dove started and fell upon the Lamb, and this Lamb would have
snorted like a wolf? What do you think would have happened? The dove would have
took her flight. She couldn't stay around that. Certainly not. She couldn't stay
around where all that there snorting and going on was.

E-22 Let us turn back in the pages of time, and let's take the
precious Book tonight, and you just place it in your mind. If you want to follow
me, all right, if you do not, then read it when you go home or tomorrow in the
quietness of your room. Let's go to the blessed Book of Saint John and take the
1st chapter.
We find out, that after the birth of Jesus and after He was
baptized by the Holy Spirit... And He
received the Spirit without measure. We receive the Spirit by measure. But He
received It without measure. The Fulness of the Godhead bodily dwelt in Christ.
God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself. We are just gifts of God to
His Church.
Therefore, the Spirit that was in Jesus, was like all
the water in the world. And the gifts of the Spirit from Jesus, is like a
spoonful of that same water. But the chemicals that's in the entire ocean, is in
a spoonful of water; it's the same chemicals, just not as much of it. We have it
by measure; He had it without measure.

112 And when Christ was being formed in Mary, quickly come the king's
commandment, "All you people..." Just as she was... The Christ was becoming a
full baby, ready to be delivered, right then the great persecution.
Now,
the--the baby's been formed for a long time, along in the womb. But this is coming the last days when the
completeness, when the Fulness of the Godhead, when the Fulness of Christ is to
be manifested among His people. He said so; He promised it in His
Word. And when that Fulness (You see?), there is unusual things begin to happen,
that He promised. That's the reason our great social lives and things can't
understand that; it's foolishness to them.
Now, watch, they're forming a
Council of Churches. See? Just the time when the Church is begin to get to Its
feet, where the Supernatural is begin to work, now they've all went into a
group, and now they're going to try to stop this stuff, just exactly like it was
then.

264 No leaven among you, that brings the entire
Fulness of the Godhead bodily among you. Couldn't do it in Luther's
age, couldn't do it in Wesley's age, couldn't do it in the Pentecostal age;
but in the day when the Son of man
will be manifested, revealed, brought back the church together with the entire
Deity of God amongst His people, showing the same visible signs, manifesting
Himself like He did at the beginning when He was manifested on earth in a form
of a Prophet God (Oh, Glory.) promised by Malachi 4, promised by the
rest of the Scriptures. Where you worship at? The house of God, seated, in
present tense.
