Quotes used in the sermon "Requirments of Obedience"

JEHOVAH.JIREH.2_ YAKIMA.WA TUESDAY_ 60-0802
E-14 When you come to total obedience, then you can have possession. But until you totally obey. You've got to completely surrender your own thoughts, your own will, your own mind, and let the mind of Christ operate in you. Now, do you think Christ would--the mind of Christ, in you, would say, "The days of miracles is past"? Do you think the mind of Christ, in you, would say, "The Bible's right in some places and not in others"? The mind of Christ would sanction every word that Christ ever said. It's right. So if you don't use your own mind, just use His mind. That's how visions at nighttime... If I use my own mind, how--what could I do? I couldn't do nothing. But just yield myself to Him, and then He uses my mind, my eyes, my mouth. He's my all. Just yield. That's the way you do it. That's the way these ministers do when they're preaching the Gospel. They get up there and take a text, why, they just start off to preach, and yield themselves to God, their ministers, the first thing you know, the Holy Spirit maybe take them on another text, take them somewhere else.

15-3 REVELATION.OF.JESUS.CHRIST - CHURCH.AGE.BOOK CPT.1
Now remember this. Christ in the True Church is a continuation of the Book of Acts. But the Book of Revelation shows how that the antichrist spirit would come into the church and defile it, making it lukewarm, formal and powerless. It exposes Satan, revealing his works (attempted destruction of God's people and the discrediting of God's word) right down to the time he is cast into the lake of fire. He fights that. He cannot stand it. He knows that if the people get the TRUE REVELATION of the TRUE CHURCH and what she is, what she stands for and that SHE CAN DO THE GREATER WORKS, she will be an invincible army. If they get a true revelation of the two spirits within the framework of the Christian church, and by God's Spirit discern and withstand the antichrist spirit, Satan will be powerless before her. He will be as definitely thwarted today as when Christ withstood his every effort to gain power over Him in the desert. Yes, Satan hates revelation. But we love it. With true revelation

JEHOVAH.JIREH_ LONG.BEACH.CA SUNDAY_ 61-0212M
E-39 Throwed his little head back like that, reached down in his bosom, took off the--knife out of its sheath, and raised it up like that, pulled his hair back like that, and in his heart choking, swallowing it back, as if to say, "Farewell, Isaac, my boy." Raised his hand and about that time, in full obedience, even if you're doing something wrong and walking in obedience, the Holy Ghost is there to stop you. You say, "I'm afraid if I ever receive the Holy Ghost, I might act indecently." Don't you worry, if it's the Holy Ghost, He will know when to stop you, and when to start you; He's got the button in His hand. You see? So He knows when to turn on and turn off. Just throw yourself at His mercy

PROVING.HIS.WORD_ JEFF.IN V-9 N-6 SUNDAY_ 64-0816
145 Now, we find that God came into this little cell (See?), and He begin to develop cells, drew from His mother's vitamins and things, as she. Then when He become old enough to eat Himself, He begin to eat. And what is that? It's the--it's the dust of the earth, which you come up and plant life and animal life and so forth, and as He begin to eat the fish and the bread and the so forth, it begin to develop cells. And then when it's fully matured at thirty years old, He was baptized in obedience to John down here, or to God, in the water, and went out. And what happened? The Dove, which was God, descending from heaven, with a voice saying, "This is My beloved Son, in Whom I'm pleased to dwell in." What did He come to do? To redeem that part of the earth. He was the beginning of the creation of God. Because God is not a creation; only in Christ He is a creation, because God is eternal and a Spirit, and a Spirit is not created. He was the beginning of the creation of God, and God redeemed that body. See, when He come down, "This is My beloved Son; I'm well pleased in Him."

TOKEN.THE_ JEFF.IN V-2 N-19 SUNDAY_ 63-0901M
45-5 The token is a sign that the purchase has been made and been accepted. Now, you can't get the token from the railroad fare, until you pay the price. And the only way you're going to pay the price... Just pay it. That's right. What? Believe it; accept it. Full obedience to the whole Word of God will entitle you to the Token. Full obedience, not to part of It, as far as your denomination goes, but all of It. Full obedience to the Word, which is Christ, brings you into Christ.

TOKEN.THE_ JEFF.IN V-2 N-19 SUNDAY_ 63-0901M
45-7 Now, what if you was all in but your feet hanging out? What if you was all in but hands hanging out? Most all of it's in but the heart hanging out? See, see? The heart's in the world yet. See? But we don't do that. Full, complete obedience puts you and the Word one. You believe It every bit, and all of It's in you, and you watch It working through you.
You don't go about with a bunch of carrying on. See? You're a Christian. No matter what anybody says, they'll never touch you; you're in Christ. You're safe as you can be. When death knocks at the door, it has no hold (See?), not at all. Why? It's just stepping out of here into there.

16-1 REVELATION.OF.JESUS.CHRIST - CHURCH.AGE.BOOK CPT.1
You will recall that I mentioned at the beginning of this message that this Book we are studying is the actual revelation of Jesus, Himself, in the church and His work in the future ages. Then I mentioned that it takes the Holy Spirit to give us revelation or we will fail to get it. Bringing these two thoughts together you will see that it won't take just ordinary study and thinking to make this Book real. It is going to take the operation of the Holy Ghost. That means this Book can't be revealed to anyone but a special class of people. It will take one with prophetic insight. It will require the ability to hear from God. It will require supernatural instruction, not just a student comparing verse with verse, though that is good. But a mystery requires the teaching of the Spirit or it never becomes clear. How we need to hear from God and lay ourselves open and become yielded to the Spirit to hear and know.

PROVING.HIS.WORD_ JEFF.IN V-9 N-6 SUNDAY_ 64-0816
146 So He, God, came down after going through this, and now every son, that you eat and born of a natural sexual birth, the way you come; then when it comes to a place to where you go through water baptism, then Holy Ghost baptism, then the Holy Ghost comes down at the fire baptism and claims this creation, the same as it did Him. The Holy Ghost and God is the same Spirit (See?); It comes down and claims this body for the resurrection. And He was raised for our justification, "All the Father has given Me will come, not one will be lost. I'll raise it up at the last day. Not one hair of their head will even perish." That is the beginning of the creation of God. This is the continuation of the creation of God. Then the whole earth has to have a baptism. And then the Holy Ghost comes down in a city to dwell upon the earth, and the tabernacle of God is with men, and dwells with them; God has tabernacled here on earth. This whole redemption plan, justification, sanctification, baptism of the Holy Ghost, the same as it is then.

361-1 LAODICEAN.CHURCH.AGE - CHURCH.AGE.BOOK CPT.9
Remember we have shown clearly all through the ages that even as Adam and Eve fell because they left the Word, so the Ephesian Age fell by turning slightly from the Word, until with every age continuing to turn away, we have a final repudiation of the Word by the World Church system. This Laodicean Age ends in a blackout of the Word, thereby causing a departure of the Lord from the midst. He stands outside calling to His own who follow Him by obedience to the Word. After a short and powerful demonstration of the Spirit this little hunted and persecuted group will go to be with Jesus.

46-4 Now, watch fully now. Fully obedience to the whole Word of God entitles us to the Token. Then when we pay--pray, we must have the Token to present with our prayer. If you say, "I pray, Lord, but really I haven't..." Well, there you go. You just might as well stop. See? Go in first and get the Token (See?), 'cause that Token's what He will recognize. See? Yes, sir. When we pray, then we must present the Token: "Lord, I have obeyed You fully. I've repented of my sins. I feel that You have forgiven me. I've been baptized into the Name of Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit is upon me. Now, I have need of certain thing for Your glory. Lord, I ask for it. It's mine now." Then there's something anchors back there. Whew-whew [Brother Branham makes whistling sound--Ed.]. It's yours. So then it's all over; it's all over and settled. "I ask for this. I ask for it. I must have it. (See, see?) I--I want it for Your glory." See? Now, listen to it. Then He just gives it to you. Then you know it's yours. That is the way it is with our children, and so forth; we apply the blood. Believe it. That's all.
