Quotes used in the sermon "Accepted in
Him"

177 Inheritance by predestination. I inherited something. What inheritance?
There had to be somebody leave me an inheritance. Why, you say, "Jesus
left you an inheritance." Beg your pardon? Jesus never left me an inheritance; Jesus never left you an inheritance;
He only came down and paid for your inheritance, brought you to your
inheritance. But your name was put on the Lamb's Book of Life before
the foundation of the world. God give you your inheritance. Your inheritance
was first. Jesus only come... A lot... Here's the way they try to make it,
"God said, 'Well, there's a lot of people lost; I don't want them... be
saved, so I'll send Jesus down and perhaps maybe He'll... somebody feel sorry,
and know what I've done and--and get saved.'" Oh, mercy. I wouldn't run my
office like that, even as poor as I do run it sometimes then. I wouldn't do it
like that. How about God?

E-46 If there's one thing you could do to merit it, you'd have something to
brag about it. "Lord, I've sought You day and night." But you can't
say that to Him. He said, "No man can come to Me except My Father draws
him." And God seeks man and not man seeking God. So you don't have one
thing to say, but, "God it was Your grace that did it." And there, as
long you're accepted in the Beloved, how can God bring you into judgment, when
He's already judged Christ in your stead? How could you have to suffer for your sins, when Christ
has already done it? God would be a two-timer and a awful person (That's
right.), when it was thoroughly paid by Jesus Christ and you accepted it. And
as long as God accepted Christ, He accepted you with Christ. And when He did He
do it? Before the foundation of the world, when He spoke it into existence, He
spoke you redeemed with Him. And your names was written in
the Lamb's Book of Life before the foundation of the world, and then you're
scared. Whew. "Oh, if I could just keep holding on." I quit that a
long time ago. I never did even try it in the first place. I just turned loose
and let Him do the holding. Someone said when I was sick that time, when I got
over it, said, "Brother Branham, did you keep your religion during your
sick spell?" I said, "No, sir, it kept me." That's the
difference. And that's what happened.
FUTURE.HOME_ JEFF.IN V-3 N-5 SUNDAY_ 64-0802
39-3 Heavens and earth have met. God and man is reconciled. A restored Eden has
begun. See? All the curse is gone, just like
all the curse of sin is gone when the Holy Ghost accepts you. See, you don't
accept It; It accepts you, 'cause it's God's attribute. See, if It's the Holy
Ghost, means God's Spirit, and it's the attribute, the thought of God has
accepted you, because that you were ordained for that purpose. See,
yet you was borned in sin, but God had that attribute, and here you expressed
yourself here on earth, and He comes down and gets you. See you're back here;
here's where you belong. See, see? Sin's lost its power. Amen. That's right.
The desire of sin has done gone from your heart when the Holy Spirit comes in.
You are a restored person. And then when the earth is restored by the same
thing, there can be no more cursing, no more storms, no more winds, no more
taphoons--typhoons, rather; you're reconciled. Man and God has met.
WHAT.THINK.YE.OF.CHRIST_ PHOENIX.AZ SUNDAY_ 57-0303E
E-12 What made the difference was the governor's name and "pardon."
It spelled pardon to the man if he wanted to receive it. But if he did not want
to receive it, he had to pay the penalty. And the man refused it and said,
"I do not believe it. I will not accept it." And the man was shot the
following day. Then this pardon goes back to
the governor. And he had pardoned the man, yet he was a corpse. Then it was
tried in the Supreme Court of the land, and it was declared that a pardon is
not a pardon, unless it is accepted. And salvation through Jesus Christ is not
salvation unless it is accepted as salvation. Oh, if the world could only look
on God's great promises and believe them that they are God's pardon to the
human race...
RESURRECTION.OF.LAZARUS_ EVANSVILLE.IN SUNDAY_ 53-1122
E-8 Now, what did that? The woman's faith in God. That's right. The woman's
faith in God is what did it. 'Cause Jesus
already had her healed all along. Don't you believe that? When He died at
Calvary, just think what Jesus did. When He died at Calvary, healed everybody.
Is that right? And when He died at Calvary, He saved everybody.
There's no sinners after that. In the sight of God everybody was saved. He's
the Lamb of God to take away the sin of the world. Well, you say then,
"What do I do?" Then you... But it won't do you no good till you
repent and accept it. Then if you accept it, then you go in as a Christian. If
you don't accept it, you've already judged yourself. You don't have to be judged.
If you go beyond mercy, it's already judgment. God done said, "The day you
eat thereof, that day you die." So you haven't even got a chance. See?
You've either got to accept it or go before God.
GOD'S.PROVIDED.WAY_ W.PALM.BEACH.FL TUESDAY_ 53-1201
E-19 And then, just by accepting it won't only do, God's got to vindicate back
that He has accepted you. That's the thing. You can accept Him, but then if He
accepts you. Stay right there until He does accept you. And then when He does, He seals you into His Kingdom by
the baptism of the Holy Spirit. Then you have, you're secure until the day of
redemption. That's right. "Grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby
you're sealed (until the next revival, no, huh-uh,) until the day of
redemption." Is that right? There's no ups-and-downs, ins-and-outs; you
really get into God. If you're really in Him, not just impersonating something,
but you're really in Christ, you're one alternative, your whole heart's sold
out; every bridge is burnt behind you; and you got your affections set on
things which are above; and you run the race with patience that's set before
you. Amen.
WHY_ BEAUMONT.TX FRIDAY_ 61-0125
E-28 If... You're not condemned because you are a sinner; you're condemned
because you don't accept Jesus as your Saviour. Now, God would be unjust to
condemn you and not make a preparation for you to come out of it, because you
were borned in sin, shaped in iniquity, come to the world speaking lies. No matter who your parents was, or what they were,
you're still just a sinner, as any other child, when you're born in this world.
We're all born in sin. We could not save ourself. We could no more save
ourself, than we could take our boot straps and lift ourself over the moon.
We could not do it. We're totally helpless. And therefore, God would not
condemn you on those basis because you are a sinner. He'd condemn you because
you refuse to take the way of escape. So therefore, it isn't God; it's
yourself. You condemn yourself. And when you condemn yourself, there's nobody
to pity but yourself. That's all. We're... You--you
must pity yourself, because you haven't accepted God's provided way of escape.
Now, when God makes His ways, just wonder wh--how He feels when He makes a way
for us, for our healing, for our salvation, for our comfort, for our peace, and
all these things, and we just walk away and leave them. It must make Him feel
terribly bad.
