E-24    So about the baptism of the Holy Spirit, I truly believe it with all my heart. I believe in all the gifts of the Spirit: prophecy, speaking in tongues, interpretation of tongues, and all the great things that goes in the Body of Christ. And I believe by one Spirit we're all baptized into that Body and are members and fellow citizens of the Kingdom of God, and brethren and sisters of like precious faith. That's how I stand tonight. Let us bow our heads now before we read the text for a short message.

Gracious Lord, we are approaching Thy throne of mercy, Lord, not Thy throne of justice. We could not stand it, Lord; for we do not plead for Your law; we do not plead for Your justice; but we ask for Your mercy. Be merciful unto us, Lord, and remember that we are dust of the earth and we're subject to all kinds of mistakes. And we pray that You'll forgive us as we humbly confess our wrongs.

We pray for every person in Divine Presence tonight that You will be that a Saviour to them, and a Healer, and their Joy and their Peace and their Buckler, and their Shield, and their--their Stay. Grant it, Lord.

E-30    And that was so at the beginning, and it's so now. Because he was deceived by trying to sew fig leaves together to make hisself a way, and reject God's way. And that's what he's still doing: sewing his creeds together, and making this and that, and big churches and places to try to deceive man by. The Bible said he would do it: "Have a form of godliness and deny the power thereof..." So you see, it's... You've got to be a slave one way or the other.

But we who are bond slaves to Jesus Christ, we are slaves of joy. I'm so glad that I got shackles on me, that shackles me away from the things of the world, that I could become a slave to Jesus Christ, to serve Him in love. And you, my brethren and sisters, who are like precious faith, who's been borned of the Holy Ghost, that's had the Blood of Jesus Christ to sanctify and cleanse you from all the filth of the world, that die daily to the flesh, crucify it, putting it away, and becoming a slave to your own body to serve God, we look for a City to come. Blessed be the Lord.

E-94    I believe He's the same God that was back there. The same Holy Ghost that fell on the day of Pentecost is the same Holy Ghost that we feel right here now. Believest thou this?

I believe the same power that preached the Gospel all night by Paul, when a man fell and killed hisself, and Paul laid his body over his body, and he received life again. I believe that same Holy Ghost power is right here to a fascinate a bunch of people, that'll make them set hours after hours in an old hot building to listen to the glorious Gospel of Christ. Believest thou this?

ACTS.OF.THE.HOLY.SPIRIT_  JEFF.IN  V-26 N-10  SUNDAY_  54-1219E

66    He never stopped it then. He can't stop it now. That's right. God's Gospel will move on, and on, and on, and on. And when there is no more heavens or no more earth, that Word would still remain the same. "For heavens and earth will pass away, but My Word shall never pass away." It can't pass away. That Words is just as immortal as God Himself. It can't pass away. I believe every Word of It. All the things that Jesus was, He is now, always will be. That's right. He's the same yesterday, today, and forever.

The same Holy Ghost that fell on the day of Pentecost is the same Holy Ghost of today. I'll admit It's been tramped on, made fun of, misinterpreted, misrepresented, and everything else like that; that's only the devil counterfeiting. But there is a real, genuine baptism of the Holy Spirit that brings the same results that they had on the day of Pentecost. That's right.

JEHOVAH.JIREH_  EDMONTON.AB.  SATURDAY_  57-0810

E-35    Now, how God was showing Abraham. If we had time to go into it. But here's what it was. God was showing that through the seed of Abraham, would bring Christ, His own Son, through Isaac to Christ. And that on Calvary, God took His own Son, and tore Him apart. He lifted up the body and set it on His right-hand, and sent the other part, the Holy Spirit, down on the church. And when the rapture comes, it'll have to be the same Spirit that was on Christ, will have to dovetail with that promise, or it will be rejected. No wonder He said, "Except the man be borned again, he will in no wise enter the Kingdom." It has to be the same Holy Ghost that fell on the day of Pentecost, has to baptize every believer or it won't be the same spirit, and contract, that was tore at Calvary.

Think of that. Oh, that ought to make the Pentecost shout anyhow. Think of it, the unconditional covenant. God said, "It has to be." And He tore apart, soul and body of His own Son. He took the body and sent the Spirit to the church. And that Spirit can come into the church today, and perform the same miracles showing, and people will laugh at It and walk away from it. How do you ever expect to make the rapture or go in to see God? There we are. Maybe you never seen that before, but that's truth.

EPHESIANS.PARALLELS.JOSHUA_  JEFF.IN  AD.1  SUNDAY_  60-0515E

Not just some to the apostles, and some to this, but He's blessed us with all spiritual blessings. The same Holy Ghost that fell on the day of Pentecost is the same Holy Ghost here tonight. The same Holy Ghost that made Mary shout and speak with tongues, and have a wonderful time, and rejoice, and the things that she did, is the same Holy Ghost here tonight. The same Holy Ghost that let Paul on that old ship, where it looked like it was water-logged and was gone, fourteen days and nights, no moon or stars, he looked out there and every wave had a devil on it, glancing and gleaning his teeth, and said, "I'll sink the old boy now. I got you now."

THIRST_  TUCSON.AZ  V-16 N-6  SUNDAY_  65-0919

124    Oh, of course, the people will laugh at you and say, "You've lost your mind. You've gone crazy." But remember what they're drinking from. See? Look where they're at. Could you imagine a big artesian well spurting up fine water, and somebody down at one of them holes down there with dead tadpoles, and creeds and everything laying in it, drinking down there, looking up and making fun of you? Oh. Why, he doesn't know; he doesn't know what a--what a thirst-quenching stream you're living at. That's exactly right.

We got a living God, not one that died nineteen hundred years ago and stayed in the grave, but One that raised again. Hebrews 13:8, says He's the same yesterday, today, and forever. The same Holy Ghost that fell on the day of Pentecost is the same Holy Ghost that's here now. He's the satisfying Portion, because He is the Word. That's right. The Holy Ghost wrote the Word; He interprets the Word. The Bible said in II Peter, that the Holy Spirit wrote the Bible, "Men of old, moved by the Holy Ghost, wrote the Bible."

Now, you can't do it; you can't satisfy that holy thirst with nothing less than God Himself living in you in the Person of the Holy Spirit. Education, culture, joining churches, reciting creeds, going to belong in a fellowship; all these things are very good, but they absolutely will not stop that holy hush--that--that holy thirst, rather, won't hush that holy thirst.

STATURE.OF.A.PERFECT.MAN_  JEFF.IN  V-2 N-18  SUNDAY_  62-1014M

23-4    Now, here's what we do. What's the first thing? Have faith and be borned again; that's laying the foundation. Then after we lay the foundation, secondly, you add to your foundation. "Add to your faith," Peter said here. Add to your... First you have faith, then you add virtue to your faith. This is the next column. First pour your foundation: faith. Then to your faith add virtue.

Now, right there knocks a lot of us down. Yes, sir. Yes, add virtue to your faith. That doesn't just mean living a virgin life, you know, like a woman or man, and so forth. That doesn't have nothing to do with that. The Bible said... We read over here in the Book of Luke where it said, "Virtue went out of Him." Is that right? If we're going to be like Him, we must have virtue then. We must have it to be like Him. If...
