07-0624pm - The Gospel Pt 8 ( His Soul a Ransom ) - Samuel Dale

II TIMOTHY 1:9-10

9    Who hath saved us, and called [us] with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,

10    But is now made manifest by the appearing of our Saviour Jesus Christ, who hath abolished death, and hath brought life and immortality to light through the gospel:

HOSEA 13:14

14    I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death: O death, I will be thy plagues; O grave, I will be thy destruction: repentance shall be hid from mine eyes.

BOOK.OF.EXODUS.1_  CHICAGO.IL  WEDNESDAY_  55-1005

E-13    A man said one time, said, "Brother Branham, to redeem," he says, "the Devil put me in the pawn shop. And the Lord Jesus redeemed me." I thought that was pretty cute and right too. That the Devil put you in the pawn shop, but Jesus come by and redeemed you.

And there's always a ransom to be paid when any thing is redeemed. And Jesus was our ransom. God sent Him, and made Him in the likeness of sinful flesh, yet He was Emmanuel. A created Blood dwelt within Him, and He gave His Blood for the redemption price, to redeem us back into reconciliation to God, that we might walk with Him as in the beginning. When man... In the beginning when He didn't have to shift for himself, God provided everything he had need of. But after he got reckless, and shiftless, and--and done wrong, and sin separated him from God, then he had to shift for himself.

And now, Jesus came to redeem this man back into the care of the hands of a loving Father: redemption, brought back, replaced, put in position.

LIVING.DYING.BURIED_  JEFF.IN  EM 1-14  SUNDAY_  59-0329S

31    Man will never know what that was. That's the reason there could be no one else could ever die like that. I don't care how much that you could be tormented, how that they might put your feet in stocks, or saw you by inches, or burn you by inches; you could not die that death, because your makeup's not like that. He had to be God. He had to be more than man in the makeup,

God died. He died of a broken heart, with such grief for the world, until a chemical reaction taken place in His body that could not take place in you. You cannot suffer like that. There's no way for you to have that kind of a grief. So there's only One could do it, and He did it.

CONVINCED.THEN.CONCERNED_  TEMPE.AZ  THURSDAY_  62-0118

E-108    Do you believe that Jesus Christ is the virgin-born Son of God? Do you believe that His--His holy Blood was not by man? That we know that the blood cell comes from the male sex, and this way it was God alone Who created a Blood and brought forth the Son Christ Jesus. And He was the Son of Jehovah God. God dwelled in Him. And then, when He gave His Life a ransom on the tree, and He washed the sinner that will believe on Him, and has taken Him, and a propitiation for our sins has been made, and has washed us by the water of the Word and has cleansed us... And now we become sanctified, not our goodness, but His mercy, that the Holy Spirit might continue the work to the church down through the age, to declare Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today, and forever. Amen.

LAW.OR.GRACE_  JEFF.IN  V-26 N-7  WEDNESDAY_  54-1006

52    Now, it isn't what I can do. It isn't whether I'm good or not. It's whether He was good. I can never be good enough to make it. You can't be good enough to make it. If you ever make it, you'll stand in the merits of Jesus Christ. I'll tell you that now, 'cause there's nothing else you can do.

But God transferred all of our sins upon Him, and He died. And because He died a sinner, the Bible said, "His soul went to hell." That's right. And while He was there, He preached to--to those that were in prison, that repented not in the long-suffering of days of Noah.

"But it wasn't possible that He would leave His body see corruption, neither His soul in hell." And on the third day, He rose up for our justification, showing to us, that as our faith is confessed in Him, and we've been born anew of the Spirit, that as sure as He come from the grave, we'll rise also in His second coming. Oh, what a perfect hope.

HE.SWORE.BY.HIMSELF_  JEFF.IN  V-26 N-11  SUNDAY_  54-1212

245    And God, showing that through the hardest, most cruelest death that mortal could ever die, God run the Forerunner, Jesus Christ. And He come down here as a man. He lived. He eat. He drank. He cried. He slept. He rejoiced with us like men. And He laid out there on the cross and died, and was embalmed. With a sword, pulled the Blood from His body... And was wrapped in the cloth, and put in the grave, and was in the grave for three days and nights. And His soul went to hell. The Bible said so. Yes, sir.

But then He rose again. God would not, wouldn't let His Holy One see corruption, neither His soul stay in hell. And He rose Him up on the third day for our justification, ascended Him up on high for our justification.

BALM.IN.GILEAD_  SAN.JOSE.CA  TUESDAY_  59-1124

E-27    He was put to the test. There He went to Calvary, mockery spit all over His face, His face bleeding where they jerked handfuls of beard out of His face, beaten, when He could have spoke one word and it would've changed the whole thing. But the Toxin held. He died. He had the sins of the world. Every sin that was ever in the world was placed upon Him. Under that burden of sin, with all the weight of sin laid upon Him, He died. He died until the sun went down in the middle of the day. He died until the stars wouldn't shine. He died till the moon wouldn't shine. He died until the earth had a nervous prostration, shook so hard with the chill until the rocks run out of the mountains. He died a death that nothing could die. The Toxin held. And when He died, His soul went to hell, because it had the sins of the world upon it. And He was in hell three days.

But on the early Easter morning, the Toxin begin to go to work. He rose on the third day, and appeared here on earth again. And He said, "Because I live, you live also." The Toxin worked with temptations. The Toxin worked in every trial. The Toxin worked in death. The Toxin worked in burial. The Toxin worked in resurrection.

JESUS.CHRIST.SAME_  GRANDE.PRAIRIE.AB  TUESDAY_  61-0516A

E-6    Now, before you can believe anything you have to have some kind of a conception of what you are believing and why. I do not believe that God heals people just to show His power to heal. I believe He heals people to show that He fulfills His Word and keeps His promises. When He came on earth the first time, He said that He did this "that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet." All God's Word must be fulfilled, all of It.

When Jesus died at Calvary, we know His soul went to hell; His body went to the grave; His Spirit went to God. At Calvary He said, "Into Thy hands I commend My Spirit." And His Spirit went to God, the Father, into His hands.

The Bible said His soul--He went to hell and preached to the--the--the ones was in prison, that repented not in the long-suffering of the days of Noah.

His body, we know, they put away in a grave and sealed it with a--with a rock: great stone was rolled up, and sealed.

EVER.PRESENT.WATER_  JEFF.IN  V-14 N-6  SUNDAY_  61-0723M

148    Jesus, when He was here on earth, when He died, His soul descended into hell, and preached to the spirits that were in prison, the souls in prison, that repented not in the long-suffering of the days of Noah. His body went into the grave. But before He died, He commended His Spirit into the hands of God. His Spirit went to God; His soul went to hell; and His body went to the grave. And Jesus was barred out from resurrection until the Scripture could be fulfilled. He could not come back, because He had to stay in the grave for three days and nights. But when the Scripture was all fulfilled, this bar was taken away; His Spirit descended to His soul, His soul to His body, and He rose again.

FAITH_  JEFF.IN  SUNDAY_  61-0813

E-1    When you've got to use faith in God to make it work. See? So you got your own resurrection inside of you.

Your resurrection lays inside of you, in your spirit. Now you know, when Jesus died on the cross, His soul descended into hell and preached to the souls that were in prison, that repented not in long suffering in the days of Noah. His body went into the grave. But before He died, He committed His Spirit into the hands of God: "Into the hands... Into Thy hands commend My Spirit." So you see, His Spirit went to God; His Soul went to hell; His body went to the grave. Now, that Spirit that was in Him was the Spirit of God. And that Spirit in sundry times and divers manners anointed the prophets to bring the message to the people. In the last days through Christ, and now in these days here through the Gospel...

TOKEN.THE_  BAKF.CA  V-22 N-8  SATURDAY_  64-0208

31    Now, our sacrifice today, It not only an ordinary human being, but it was God Himself that was identified in flesh here upon the earth. When that Blood cell was broke, not only did the soul of a man, or a spirit of a man, but God Himself, Who was identified in that man, returned back upon the believer in the baptism of the Holy Spirit. That's the Token that God requires today. The Token of today that we have to have must be the Holy Spirit. That's God's required Token. We'll prove it to you by the Scriptures.

Without the Holy Spirit, you do not display the Token. That's... The Token shows that the--that you have identified yourself with the sacrifice, and God has sent you back the Token to show that you've been accepted. Until that's done, no matter how good you are, how much you know, how much... A college professor, good person, preacher, whatever it might be, you are absolutely not recognized until you can show the Token.

QA.HEBREWS.PART.2_  JEFF.IN  COD  WEDNESDAY_  57-1002

277-412    Yes, notice, Now, my Jehovah Witness friend, I'd like to ask you about that. See? If hell is a place... Hades, Sheol, whatever you wish to call it, if that ceases at the grave, then why did He say, "I'll not leave My soul in hell, neither will I suffer Thy holy One to see corruption"? How about that? See?

Here His body was in the grave, and his soul was in hell, preaching, alive. What about that? He was in His Theophany again. His soul was down there with those people that were in...?... theophany also, and was witnessing to them that they repented not in the long-suffering.

He... In other words, He'd knocked at the door. And when the door swung open, and all those souls that repented, He said, "I'm the Seed of the woman. I'm the One that Enoch here..." Over in paradise, another place... Don't never lose them three places, now: the place of the wicked, the place of the righteous, and hell itself (See?), just like a trinity of heaven: like Father, Son, Holy Spirit. Like the trinity of the beast: the false prophet, the beast, and the--and the mark of the beast... And all that, remember, it's all in trinity. Trinity makes one, perfected. One is perfected. You're perfected, one in three: soul, body, and spirit: water, blood, and nerves. See, whatever you was, you have to take three to make a perfected one.

Take a three cornered piece of glass and put the sun on it, you got a perfected rainbow. See, everything, you have to have three to make a perfect one.

MANIFESTED.SONS.OF.GOD_  JEFF.IN  AD.2  WEDNESDAY_  60-0518

97    And Paul said, "It does not yet appear just exactly what kind of a body we'll have, but we know we'll have a body like His." What? Did He ever have that theophany body? Yes, sir. When He died, the Bible said that, "He," is a personal pronoun again, "He went to hell and preached to the souls in prison." Hallelujah. How did He do it? He had senses of feeling; He had senses of hearing; He had senses of speech; He preached with that same kind of body I saw those glorified ones in the other night. He preached to the souls that were in hell, that repented not in the long-suffering of the days of Noah.

But when He rose up on Easter, it was not possible that that Body should see corruption, 'cause David the prophet foresaw it, "I'll not leave His soul in hell, neither will I suffer My holy One to see corruption. Moreover My flesh shall rest in hope, because He will not leave My soul in hell, neither will He leave My holy One see corruption." And on seventy-two hours before corruption could set in, that theophany, that body that went and preached to the souls that were in prison, that repented not in the long-suffering of days of Noah, rose again, and the mortal put on immortality, and He stood and He eat, and He told us that He was a Man. Hallelujah.

ENTOMBMENT_  JEFF.IN  ER 55-72  SATURDAY_  57-0420

77    Here He goes. Where did He leave when He left? The Bible said, "He ascended. He went and preached to the souls that were in prison, that repented not in the long-suffering of the days of Noah." His soul, His Spirit, His Theophany of His Own Being, went down. Let's follow Him. Would you like tonight to follow Him a few minutes? Let's see where He went.

Just below the regions of mortal beings lays the realm of demon power; below that--just above that lays the souls of the unjust; below it lays the very domain of Satan: hell. Then just above us lays the Holy Spirit; then under the Altar lays the souls of the just men; the next is God Himself. One going downward, one going upward; the two spirits are here on earth, influencing the people of this earth.

QA.ON.GENESIS_  JEFF.IN  COD  WEDNESDAY_  53-0729

24-82    I can't touch Brother Neville in--in up there, 'cause John saw them. They was souls under the altar, crying, "How long, Lord, how long?" You know why; we went through Revelations. And how that in there they desired to return and be clothed upon with mortal bodies. They were crying, "How long, Lord?"

Now, they knew each other, but they couldn't talk and shake hands, or I beg... They could talk, but they couldn't shake hands and so forth.

Here's the image to prove it. When the witch of Endor called up the spirit of Samuel, and Saul looked at him, he recognized him to be Samuel. And Samuel recognized Saul and said, "Why did you call me out of my rest, seeing that you become the enemy of God and God's departed from you?" Is that right? And there stood old Samuel with his prophet's robe on, and he looked at him. He was in the spirit...

The witch seen him and fell on the ground, said, "I see gods raising up out of the earth." He said, "Why did you disturb me?"

And he said, "Well, I want to know how the battle's going."

Said, "Tomorrow you'll die in battle, and your sons would, and by this time tomorrow night you'll be with me." See? Now, he was conscious, and he looked just like he did when he was here on earth to that witch that was standing, looking at him, and Saul.

THINGS.THAT.ARE.TO.BE_  RIALTO.CA  V-4 N-6  SUNDAY_  65-1205

127    And then so I looked, and these women, and... They picked me up, these brothers, and set me upon a place. I said, "Why'd you do this?"

He said, "In earth you was a leader, and said--and said; "You... These are the people."

And then some women come up, and she said, "Our precious brother." Most beautiful woman, when she passed by, this voice, something said, "Don't you remember her?"

I said, "No."

Said, "You led her to Christ when she was past ninety. See? Can't you see why she says, precious brother?"

And I said, "Well, do--do you go..."

They said, "No, we are waiting here."

I said, "Well, if I've passed over, I want to see Jesus."

Said, "You can't see Him now. This is the Scripture said 'souls under the altar.' He's just a little higher. Someday He will return. We'll go back to earth. We don't eat or drink here."

MIGHTY.CONQUEROR_  CHICAGO.IL  FRIDAY_  58-0110

E-18    He went into the regions of the devils, demons; He scattered them. And right to the very pits of dark hell He went, still in existence. Though His body was quiet on the cross, He was still the great and mighty Conqueror. And after nineteen hundred years has passed, He's still the mighty Conqueror. And He will forever be the mighty Conqueror.

Then when He got to the very doors of hell, if we could use a little drama here, the devil step out and say, "So I finally got You. So You've finally arrived. I tried to destroy that seed all along. I destroyed Abel. I thought I had You. When I destroyed the prophets, I thought I had You. I was sure when I got John that I got You. But now, here You are, and You're in my kingdom, and You're under my domain, and You're in my power, for You died as a sinner."

I can hear Him say, "Satan, I am the virgin born Son of God. My Blood's still wet on the cross. I have met every just requirement for Adam's fallen race, and I've come down here to conquer and to take over." Amen. Reached to the devil and grabbed the keys of death and hell, and hung them on His own side, and kicked him into the pits where he belongs. Still the mighty Conqueror.

E-19    He started back to the earth triumph over death and hell, to win the victory over the grave. But as He went up along the great paths, He heard some hymns being sung, and He knew He was coming near the gates of paradise, where those who heeded the message of Noah, those who heeded the message of the prophets were waiting, because they could not go up.

There was a mist of sin over the earth. And the blood of bulls, and calves, and sheep could not atone for the human. Therefore they were kept in a place called paradise. There was a mist hanging over of sin. They could not ascend up, only He that come down.

And He walks to the door, and He knocks lightly at the door. Father Abraham opens up the door, and He stood spellbound. And he said, "Sarah, come here just a moment. Isn't that the same One that you baked the cakes for? Isn't that the One that set under the oak tree that day?"

Sarah said, "That's the One that had His back turned to the tent, and He perceived my thought when I laughed at what He said."

E-20    He said, "Children, I've come to take you now. I've conquered that horrible thing called sin."

And just then right over behind his shoulder Abraham's shoulder and Sarah standing looking, I can see another head moving up. And it was perhaps an elderly like man, and he looked over the shoulder of Abraham. And he too stood spellbound. It was the prophet Daniel. He said, "That's that Stone that I saw cut out of the mountain without hands that would destroy the kingdoms of the world."

Someone come running. Who was it? It was that prophet Ezekiel. He looked over the shoulder of the prophet, and he said as he stood spellbound, "There is the Wheel in the middle of the wheel that I saw turning way up in the middle of the air." Each one had seen Him in the form that they preached of Him in.

Oh, what will it be when we see Him as the Rose of Sharon, as the Lily of the valley, as the Fairest of ten thousands to my soul? What will He be? Alpha and Omega, the Beginning and the End, the Root and the Offspring of David, the bright and the morning Star.

E-21    And as they went out, He'd conquered the grave. And then there was a great mist hanging over the earth yet, so He had to conquer that mist of sin, that mist of stench of the sins of the people. And with His own Blood, His vesture dipped in Blood, He conquered the atmospheres above. Blessed be His holy Name.

He cut the fogs of hell from place to place, until He cut a hole through the sky that Adam's lost children could pray through to the victory. He conquered the atmospheres. He conquered sin. He conquered death. He conquered hell. And He rose triumphantly.

On beyond the moon and stars He went with the Old Testament saints. Oh, what a victorious march that must have been with the real Conqueror. After while they come in sight of that glorious city. Abraham says to Sarah, "Come here, honey." And she gets Isaac and comes along. Isaac gets Jacob. Jacob gets Joseph.

And he said, "That's that city that daddy saw, whose Builder and Maker is God. I walked about on the earth looking for a city to come, whose Builder and Maker was God, and now I'm coming near the gates." Although the great men that they were, they could not conquer it. It taken One to come down to do the conquering. Though Abraham conquered difficults, Isaac, and Jacob, and Joseph, but there was only One Who could conquer sin. That was Him, the Lord Jesus.

E-22    And as they seen the light from the inside the city, and the great pearly gates a shining, Jesus in the forefront, marching on. And the Angels begin to ascend to the top of the buildings. And they looked coming, and the Old Testament saints cried out, "Open up, ye everlasting gates, and be ye open. And let the King of glory come in, the mighty Conqueror."

And the Angels screamed back and said, "Who is this King of glory?"

And the Old Testament saints cried out, "The Lord of hosts, mighty in battle." And the gates come open. And He placed at the gate, the old rugged cross, that every man or woman ever comes into that gate will have to bow before that cross and recognize Him as the mighty Conqueror.

And as the Angels, ten thousand times ten thousands of thousands screamed and shouted and praised the Lord, as this great mighty Warrior, He led captive captive, and give gifts unto man. Not at the Arch of Triumph like Adolph Hitler, but in the realms of glory.

E-23    The Angels sang and praised the morning Star as it moved down the street as the mighty Conqueror Who had conquered the sins of the world and had brought forth the righteous triumphantly. On down through the city they went, till they come to the throne. There upon the throne set the mighty Jehovah.

And as Jesus came to the throne, He fell to His knees, and He said, "Father, I have finished that work that You gave Me to do. I've paid the debt for sin. I have the keys of both death and hell. And Your enemy is defeated. And these are those who waited patiently for this hour."

And I can see the Father, as He said, "Climb up here on My throne, My Son, and set here until I make every enemy Your footstool." There He sets, the mighty Conqueror. Trusting in His Word, believing every thing He says, trusting Him as my all, as my breath, as my life, as all that I have...

Tonight I fully surrender myself to Him both soul, body, and spirit. Looking for His second coming in glory. When I'm sad, I trust Him. When I am glad, I trust Him. When I'm sick, I trust Him. And when I'm lost, I trust Him. Whatever befalls me, I trust Him.
