07-0114am - Faith Pt 24
Position To Have Faith - Samuel Dale
ROMANS 8:1
1 ¶ [There is] therefore now no
condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh,
but after the Spirit.
ROMANS 8:2
2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ
Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death.
ROMANS 8:3
3 For what the law could not do, in that it
was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful
flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh:
ROMANS 8:4
4 That the righteousness of the law might be
fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
I JOHN 3:20
20 ¶ For if our heart condemn us, God is
greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.
I JOHN 3:21
21 Beloved, if our heart
condemn us not, [then] have we confidence toward God.
I JOHN 3:22
22 And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him,
because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his
sight.

27 And he that cometh to God must believe God;
and faith comes by hearing the Word of God. See? You must first believe this is
God's Word, and you must come to God by the Word. See? Just take the Word, what
It says, and That's right. Everything else contrary to
It is not right.
Abraham had to believe just what that voice told him. And when he
was a hundred years old, twenty-five years later, he was stronger believing it
than he was twenty-five years ago when it was give to him. See? He believed It. And "He staggered not at the promise of God through
unbelief, but was strong, giving praise to God, knowing that He was able to
perform what He'd promised." That's the way; every one must be that way.
You must come with an unfailing faith, believing that God made the promise. But now, you have to be in a
position to have that faith, and that's what we're going to talk on (See?), to
receive that faith.

65 Therefore, He relied upon what God had made
Him. And if He did that, then can't we rely upon what God made us as believers?
"These signs shall follow them that believe." He had faith in
what He was. And if you are a believer, you have faith in what you are: you are
a believer. And if you've got faith in God, the Bible says over here in...
"If our--if our hearts condemn us, then we can't have faith; but if our
hearts don't condemn us, then we have faith; we have confidence towards
God." If you want to read that, found in

97 Now, you must believe what you
ask for. If you are a believer, recognize yourself as a believer. Recognize
that these things are for you. If there's condemnation in your
life, straighten that first. See? If you got condemnation in your...
I... Or you might have Oral Roberts and--and a dozen more people who has faith
to come here and pray over you, and jump up and down, and pour oil on you by
the gallons, that it--you know, it--it won't move. That's right.
What falls off from Oral's meetings to that? I catch it in the
prayer line. You hear him say that he was prayed for before. "A
man with dark hair, kind of big fellow, big jaw." That's Oral
Roberts. See? "And that was at a certain city, called certain, certain
thing."
"Yes, that's right." See?
"You was prayed for by such-and-such a man." See, like
that. "But here it is here; here's your trouble." See? "Go make
that thing right. Go out there and confess that sin to your husband, to your
wife. Go do this thing." It'll never do you any good, no matter who you
prayed for, till you make that right. Condemnation's
in your heart, and God will not come into that heart condemned. See? God don't
dwell in that; you got to make it right. Then when you do, you must have faith.
If everything's right, you must have faith and believe it. Don't be afraid.

E-47 Listen just a minute. "If our heart condemn us not..." But if there's something in
your life that condemns you, you'd better make that thing right. I don't care
what in the world you... You--you just can't operate right. The Holy Spirit
can't deal with you. When you got prejudice, and selfishness, and all those
things in you, the Holy Spirit can never bless you. You might get some
intellectual emotions, some work-up.
Let me just explain something to you. For instance, when a--a
women gets married, and she's afraid that she's not going to have a baby. She
won't have it. No. But let her go and adopt a baby, then
she'll have one. Now, the books claim that that's nine out of
ten will do that. Why? It sets her body into the right emotion. Now, you
see if... Ask your doctor if that's not right. Why? It puts her in the right
attitude.

E-61 Could you play that hymn for me? "To Be Like Jesus." Do you hear me? "To be
like Jesus, On earth I long to be like Him." Do
you know it? Is that what you want to be like? Sure you do. How many knows the
song? Let's... All right.
Let's sing it now in a worship, "To Be Like
Jesus." That's my desire. I want His Spirit. It's something I--I--I... You
can't clean your spots, no more than a leopard can
lick his spots clean. You can't do it. Let's just worship Him, and
tell Him to take all consciousness of sin away, all unbelief, and establish
that--that something in us that we know where we're standing; there's no sin in
our way. And God answers prayer, and we know that's the truth. But if our heart condemn us, then God won't hear us. If there's any
condemnation, take it away, God.
Let's sing now, if you could help me. Give us a chord. If you don't know it. All right.
I'll tell you one that then we can sing, a good old song of some sort. I just
feel that the Spirit wants us to worship Him in singing at this time. You feel
that way? Would just love to sing something to--to the Lord Jesus, something,
and make Him...

77 Now, see, He knew Who
He was; therefore He had faith. Faith could produce when He knowed
what He was. Now, "if ye abide in Me, and My Word
in you," then you know who you are. Amen. Ask what you will; It'll be given to you.
Wouldn't that be wonderful tonight if everybody come in that
prayer line, say, "I am a Christian. I have no
condemnation. I--I know that my heart condemn me not. Something tells me that
tonight's the end of my suffering." That's... You're going to...?...
You're going away from here with something. No matter how much you come in
emotion, how much you do, it won't work until that perfect faith has manifested
and identified itself in you as a substance. When It's
there, then nothing's going to shake you from it.

E-43 And what a--what a mix-up the people's got
in today, that think that Christianity's one of the softest things. All
they do is put their name on a book, and have somebody to sprinkle them, or
something another, and give the minister the right hand of fellowship, and
that's all there is to it, go on out. That's not Christianity.
Christianity is self-denial. Take up your cross daily.
Follow Him. Die out to the things of the world. And when all condemnation is
gone, "There is therefore now no condemnation to them that are in Christ
Jesus." How do you get into Him? By joining? No. Shaking hands? No. By a union? By education? "By
one Spirit we are all baptized into one body." By Holy Spirit baptism
we're in Christ, and "There's no condemnation to them that are in Christ
Jesus, that walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit." Amen. Oh,
that--that'd make anybody shout. Amen. To be in there anyhow, that's the good
part.
All right. Now, we find out here that in the next fellow
to raise up to testify must have been Peter. I can
hear him say, "Can I give my testimony next?"
