II CORINTHIANS 1:17
17 When I therefore was thus minded, did I use
lightness? or the things that I purpose, do I purpose
according to the flesh, that with me there should be yea yea,
and nay nay?
II CORINTHIANS 1:18
18 But [as] God [is] true, our word toward you

19 For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was

And Abraham was just an ordinary man just like you and I, and he wasn't
any extra good man, reason that God called him, but God called Abraham by
election.
Now, if
you'll notice in the Old Testament, which you have a pastor here far more able
to explain these things than I, but Abraham is justification. I... Abraham is
election, rather. Isaac is justification, and Jacob is grace, and Joseph is
perfection. There's nothing against Joseph in Scripture. He was a perfect type
of the Lord Jesus in every way.
So in
Abraham is election. God calls man by election, foreknowledge. "No man can
come to Me except my Father draws him first. All that
comes I'll give them Eternal Life and raise him up at the last day." That
settles it. I'm so happy to know this one thing, friend: That
Christianity has no negative nothing to it. It's everything absolutely
positive. A man that becomes a child of God has a positive hold on Calvary, and
Calvary has a positive hold on him with the assurance by Almighty God by an
oath to Himself that He will raise him up in the last day and take him to
glory. There's not no "if" or "and" or nothing. It's
something that's positive.

"He was wounded for our transgressions, bruised for our iniquity:
chastisement of our peace upon Him; with His stripes we were healed."
Everything's in past tense. There's no negative at all in Christianity;
it's all positive, done paid for. It's finished. Amen. That would
make Methodist almost shout again, wouldn't it? Think of it. It's all
completed, all finished. Our only thought, is not many things... God cannot do nothing else; it's already completed. Christ stood right
here tonight, you'd say, "Christ, heal me."
He'd say,
"I've already done it."
Say,
"Save me, Lord Jesus."
"I've
already done it." When He died at

If you loved your wife, you wouldn't hurt her. If you loved your
children, you wouldn't want to do anything wrong to them. And
how about your heavenly Father? So you see, "Though I speak with
tongues of men and Angels, and though I have all knowledge and all wisdom,
though I have faith to move mountains and have not love, I am nothing. (See?)
Where there's tongues, they shall cease and where
there's prophecy, it shall vanish. And knowledge shall vanish, and prophecy
shall fail, and all these things. But when that which is perfect is come, it
endures forever."
Dear dying Lamb, Thy precious Blood
Shall never lose its power,
Till all the ransomed
Be saved, to sin no more. See?
Ever since by faith I saw that stream
Thy flowing wounds supplied,
Redeeming love has been my theme,
And shall be till I die.
That's--that's my theme, is love. Law works fear. Law is negative;
works is negative. But love is positive. See? It's absolutely positive. You can
trust anybody when they love you, not because they fear you, but because they love you.
And
that's how I trust Him, because I know He loves me. And it's a love affair, and
not a works affair, or fear, and if, and if, and if, and if, there's no
"if" to it. God's done it, and that settles it. So I love Him for it.

Now, healing is not something that you just say, "Well, I... yeah,
I believe it. I believe it." Now, that's all right. If that's the best you
can do, just mentally, or just say, "Well, I... Yes, I--I see it. I
believe that; I accept it." Then if you accept it on those
basis, keep saying it over and over. Say it out loud. Say it over and over; just keep saying, "I'm
healed. I'm healed." Say it until actually you believe it. And when you
believe it, then it's going to take place.
Don't have a negative testimony. Every time when you
confess, "Well, I still feel bad today. I guess I..." you go right
straight back in the same rut that you was in the beginning. There's not a man or woman in
here that is baptized with Holy Spirit but what would start your confession,
"I believe I've lost the Holy Spirit. I believe It's
gone from me. I believe I..." you'll go right
down; you'll never... Can you...

Well, that same Holy Spirit's leading the Church today. There's no way
to... The only thing you say, "Well, now, God tells me in my heart that
Jesus Christ healed me. I just... This is my possession. I take it. I go on.
It's mine." Well, then you just go on. The Holy Spirit just keeps leading
you. No matter how you're feeling, if you--if you go to your
feeling, then you're certainly going to... If you get back to that, every time
that you have a negative testimony, every time that you look at your symptoms,
then you're fallen right then.
There's
not a Christian in here, no matter how solid you are in faith, if right now
that you, something happened to get a hold of you and tell you that you're not
a Christian, and you start out testifying, "Well, I'm not a Christian no
more," you dropped right then. You're no more a Christian anymore. As soon
as you testify that you're not a Christian, then you've dropped from grace right
then. You've fallen, because (see?) your--your
own--your own speech tells what you are. You've got... It's a... Faith acts
every time.

Now, I imagine as he set there, God begins to deal with his heart and
prepare for something. Little did he know, just around the corner was the
Fountain of Life. Hallelujah.
Just
around the corner, when you get to thinking about Divine healing, get to
thinking about Christ... Keep Him on your mind. "If there be any praise,
if there be any virtue," the Bible says, "think on these
things."
If any
thought comes by, "Well, maybe it couldn't be so. Maybe..." Get it
off your mind right quick. Think on
things that's positive. Never let a negative thought pass through. The... Don't let it stop, anyhow, if it starts to. Keep your
thoughts positive: Jesus.

In the 12th chapter of Saint Matthew's gospel, and the 24th verse, we
wish to read for a moment, these words. It's a little text that I've read many
times, and spoke on it. And the reason I taken it tonight, is because I could
hurry with it, to get to the point that I wish to get to, before prayer for the
sick. And while I'm praying and speaking, I want every person in here to have
this in your mind, that as soon as prayer begins to go for the sick, every one
of you is going to get up and walk out of the building well. Don't have nothing else in your mind. Keep thinking that. "If
there be any praise, if there be any virtue, think on these things." You cannot get anything from God with a negative
thought. "He that cometh to God, must believe
that He is, and a rewarder of those that diligently
seek Him." Now, the 42nd verse:
