ROMANS 4:1

1       What shall we say then that Abraham our father, as pertaining to the flesh, hath found?

ROMANS 4:2

2    For if Abraham were justified by works, he hath [whereof] to glory; but not before God.

ROMANS 4:3

3    For what saith the scripture? Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.

ROMANS 4:4

4    Now to him that worketh is the reward not reckoned of grace, but of debt.

ROMANS 4:5

5    But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

ROMANS 4:6

6    Even as David also describeth the blessedness of the man, unto whom God imputeth righteousness without works,

ROMANS 4:7

7    [Saying], Blessed [are] they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.

ROMANS 4:8

8    Blessed [is] the man to whom the Lord will not impute sin.

ROMANS 4:9

9       [Cometh] this blessedness then upon the circumcision [only], or upon the uncircumcision also? for we say that faith was reckoned to Abraham for righteousness.

ROMANS 4:10

10    How was it then reckoned? when he was in circumcision, or in uncircumcision? Not in circumcision, but in uncircumcision.

ROMANS 4:11

11    And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness of the faith which [he had yet] being uncircumcised: that he might be the father of all them that believe, though they be not circumcised; that righteousness might be imputed unto them also:

ROMANS 4:12

12    And the father of circumcision to them who are not of the circumcision only, but who also walk in the steps of that faith of our father Abraham, which [he had] being [yet] uncircumcised.

ROMANS 4:13

13    For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, [was] not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.

GENESIS 15:1

1       After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I [am] thy shield, [and] thy exceeding great reward.

GENESIS 15:2

2       And Abram said, Lord GOD, what wilt thou give me, seeing I go childless, and the steward of my house [is] this Eliezer of Damascus?

GENESIS 15:3

3    And Abram said, Behold, to me thou hast given no seed: and, lo, one born in my house is mine heir.

GENESIS 15:4

4    And, behold, the word of the LORD [came] unto him, saying, This shall not be thine heir; but he that shall come forth out of thine own bowels shall be thine heir.

GENESIS 15:5

5    And he brought him forth abroad, and said, Look now toward heaven, and tell the stars, if thou be able to number them: and he said unto him, So shall thy seed be.

GENESIS 15:6

6    And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.

GENESIS 15:7

7       And he said unto him, I [am] the LORD that brought thee out of Ur of the Chaldees, to give thee this land to inherit it.

GENESIS 15:8

8    And he said, Lord GOD, whereby shall I know that I shall inherit it?

GENESIS 15:9

9    And he said unto him, Take me an heifer of three years old, and a she goat of three years old, and a ram of three years old, and a turtledove, and a young pigeon.

GENESIS 15:10

10    And he took unto him all these, and divided them in the midst, and laid each piece one against another: but the birds divided he not.

GENESIS 15:11

11    And when the fowls came down upon the carcases, Abram drove them away.

GENESIS 15:12

12       And when the sun was going down, a deep sleep fell upon Abram; and, lo, an horror of great darkness fell upon him.

GENESIS 15:13

  13    And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land [that is] not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years;

GENESIS 15:14

14    And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance.

GENESIS 15:15

15    And thou shalt go to thy fathers in peace; thou shalt be buried in a good old age.

GENESIS 15:16

16    But in the fourth generation they shall come hither again: for the iniquity of the Amorites [is] not yet full.

GENESIS 15:17

17       And it came to pass, that, when the sun went down, and it was dark, behold a smoking furnace, and a burning lamp that passed between those pieces.

GENESIS 15:18

18    In the same day the LORD made a covenant with Abram, saying, Unto thy seed have I given this land, from the river of Egypt unto the great river, the river Euphrates:

TRUE.EASTER.SEAL_  JEFF.IN  V-14 N-3  SUNDAY_  61-0402

138    Speaking the other night on the--Abraham and his Seed after him, how that God showed through Abraham, how He justified Abraham, the 12th chapter of Genesis. And on the--this on down, 16th chapter, how He confirmed the covenant through sanctification. On the 17th chapter, let him nurse from His breast, draw in the Holy Spirit. And then He confirmed, or placed him (like you've heard me preach the sermon of "Hear Ye Him"), took Abraham out and changed his name from Abram to Abraham, give him part of His Name, Elohim, h-a-m. Then we find out, that after that, He appeared to Abraham.

DOES.GOD.CHANGE.HIS.MIND_  LA.CA  V-18 N-4  TUESDAY_  65-0427

166    Now, in Abraham's journey, he met God all along in different forms, and so forth, which we could take it and show it just... We are Abraham's Seed, if we're in Christ. And Isaac was really his--his lesser son; he was his son, sexually. But spiritually, Christ was Abraham's Seed, his royal Seed, his faith.

Now, we find that his royal Seed is, travels the same journey, that's Bride of Christ travels the same journey that Abraham did. And the last sign that Abraham seen before the promised son came, was when God was manifested in a human body, and two Angels came down.

Jesus said in Saint Luke the 17th chapter and the 30th verse, that, "As it was in the days of Noah..." He told about Noah's time. And said, "As it was in the days of Sodom... (See? His coming), so will it be in the days when the Son of man is being revealed." Now, He never said the Son of God being revealed; the Son of man."

WHO.IS.THIS.MELCHISEDEC_  JEFF.IN  V-5 N-10  SUNDAY_  65-0221E

64    Now, God in this stage of--at this stage of His creation later formed into flesh Jesus. From what? From the great beginning Spirit, then came down to be the Word, bringing Itself out. The Word doesn't yet make Itself; it's just spoke out, "En morphe," later He becomes flesh, Jesus, mortal to taste death for all of us sinners.

When Abraham met Him, He was Melchisedec. He unfolds here what all the attributes will do in the final end, every son of Abraham. Every son of the faith will absolutely do the same thing. But I want to watch how we have to come.

Also we see Him revealed here in Ruth and--and Boaz as a Kinsman Redeemer, how He had to come to be flesh.

QUESTIONS.AND.ANSWERS_  JEFF.IN  COD  SUNDAY_  64-0830M

1125-295    Sanctification is when your name goes on the book as a believer. Your word--your name is wrote in His Blood. See? Sanctification does that; and you come up, when He's trusted you up to this far, and then come up and you say, "Well, would He know it?"

Yes, He knowed it. He knowed you wouldn't do it in the beginning. He knowed Judas wouldn't do it. He knowed him from the beginning; he was the son of perdition. But them thing has to be fulfilled. See? The Word has to be fulfilled, although types and shadows. Oh, my. We could stay on that for hours.

ABRAHAM.AND.HIS.SEED.AFTER.HIM_  CHICAGO.IL  SUNDAY_  61-0423

E-55    The next thing was then, what did He do? The next thing was sanctification by the Blood: sanctification by the blood to the seed. Next thing was nursing God's own strength into him: taking God's own strength into the church. What He did to Abraham, He did to his seed after him. Everybody understand that? All right, now notice.

Then He said to Abraham, notice this 4th and 5th verse. Abraham My covenant now is with you. Amen. What a condition that ought to have been. What a word of encouragement to an old man a hundred years old, right at a hundred, ninety-nine, and telling him that He was El-Shaddai. "Now, I give you the strength. Now, I'm going to place you with Me now. I'm the Father of all creation. My name is Elohim." Anyone knows that the word "Elohim" means "the--the All Sufficient One, the--the great self-existing One, Elohim."

ABRAHAM'S.COVENANT.CONFIRMED_  LONG.BEACH.CA  FRIDAY_  61-0210

E-27    Now, we find out that God told him to separate himself, last night, and away from his kindred, away from his people. But Abraham, like an ordinary man... Now, God never--never run him out the--back to his homeland for doing it, but Abraham never did get blessed of God until he separated himself from all of his people. He took his father along; he took some more along, took his nephew. And the old fellow always was in the way, till finally God called him off the scene. And then Lot, his nephew, backslid and went down into Sodom. And--and then when he got separated from him, then God begin to tell him about the blessing, I--what He was going to bless him. I like that.

Now, we find out in Genesis 13:16, the--God told Abraham, when He spoke to him about His covenant, He said, "I will multiply you, and your seed shall be like the dust of the--by the sands by the side of the sea," like little grains of dust in the earth. "Your--your seed shall be like that, a father of nations."

And now we notice also in Genesis 15:5, when He confirmed the covenant, or spoke to him again about it, He said, "And go outside and look up; can you number the stars?" How that there's so many stars, innumerable...

ABRAHAM'S.GRACE.COVENANT_  MIDDLETOWN.OH  FRIDAY_  61-0317

E-32    Now, let's go to Genesis the 15th chapter: that's where He's confirming the covenant to Abraham. (Now listen close.) He confirmed the covenant, or signed the contract with Abraham, in the 15th chapter of Genesis.

Now, we find out that Abraham said, "Lord, what will You give me, seeing that I go barren..." He's getting to be an old man; this was many years later. He said, "... seeing that I go barren and the heir of my house is this Eleazar of Damascus. What will You give me?"

And God told him to take a she goat of three years old, a heifer of three years old, and his sacrifices, and a sheep three years old, ram, and to go up and split those sacrifices open, and took a pigeon and a turtledove. (Can you hear me, say, "Amen?" [The people reply, "Amen!"-Ed.] All right. I'll be... I want you to get this now.)

ABRAHAM'S.GRACE.COVENANT_  MIDDLETOWN.OH  FRIDAY_  61-0317

E-41    He confirmed the covenant in Genesis the 15th chapter. You get that out there, each one of you now? In Genesis the 15th chapter, He confirmed the Word. And remember, listen now, He never confirmed it to him until he completely obeyed God. And He won't confirm it to you, till you'll completely surrender everything.

Now, I want you to keep these in mind. Our little Amish sister, or Dunkard, Mennonite, whatever is there, you're getting it, I hope.

ABRAHAM'S.GRACE.COVENANT_  MIDDLETOWN.OH  FRIDAY_  61-0317

E-49    Now, we just don't have enough time to... to... to preach the way I like to preach. I'm not much of a preacher, but I like to talk about what I know. See? Look, now, let's take this...

Now, what did he do? Now, to you that's keeping this Scriptures... Now, what was the covenant made? (Now we're going to change the position here in just a minute in the next chapter.)

Now, what did He do? Make the covenant with Abraham, say it with me, "Abraham and his seed." What is the seed of Abraham? The borned again man and woman that's filled with the Holy Ghost.

"Oh now, Brother Branham..." All right. Let's see if He kept His promise. Abraham, in Genesis 12, was justified, called out, by justification and believed God's Word. Is that right? So was the church in Martin Luther. Is that right? Genesis the 15th chapter, he's separating when he completely obeyed and confirmed the covenant to him by blood. Hebrews 13: 12 and 13: "Jesus suffered without the gate that He might sanctify the people with His own blood." Is that right? What did He send? A message to the earth, a messenger. Who was it in the Philadelphian Church age? John Wesley preaching sanctification. That's when He confirmed it. Separating from sin.

He believed through justification, Genesis 12. He confirmed the covenant by blood, spilling the blood of a ram and so forth. on the 15th chapter and sanctified the church.

ABRAHAM'S.COVENANT.CONFIRMED_  MIDDLETOWN.OH  SATURDAY_  61-0318

E-24    Now, when we find out in justification what He done with the seed... or to Abraham, was beginning with Luther. Sanctification, the 15th chapter, when He confirmed the covenant by blood. Seventeenth chapter He gave the Holy Ghost, the Pentecostal age, because, you see, all those other elements was something outside of what the church received from Him--what Abraham received from Him. But when He said, "I am El Shaddai... ", the breast, inviting Abraham to come nurse his strength from the breast of God, draw in the life of God into himself... That's when the church got the Holy Ghost, when it tasted of the life of God, when it drawed into itself the baptism of the Holy Ghost.

JEHOVAH.JIREH.1_  LOUISVILLE.MS  THURSDAY_  64-0402

E-55    The question was, "Where's--where's this seed You promised me? Where... How am I going to be there? The people are laughing at me, saying, 'Abraham, father of nations, been fifteen years. Now, you're eighty-five years old, or--or--or ninety. Where--where--where's all your children at? How many children you got now, father of nations?'" See, making fun of him...

But he staggered not. He stayed right with it. Made fun, said, "Father of nations, now let's see. How many children do you have at this time?" See, wanted to make fun because he was holding to God's promise, believing that He's able to keep what He promised. He's--He's more than able. He's--He can provide His own sacrifice. He's Jehovah-jireh. He can provide and make a way for what He promised. And He confirmed the covenant to him by showing him how He was going to do it, taking Christ and tearing the Life from Him, and send it down in the last days upon...

JEHOVAH.JIREH_  TULARE.CA  SUNDAY_  61-0226

E-22    Now, I want every person, especially you that's going to be prayed for, or you that's praying for someone else, to listen closely now to the life of Abraham.

Now, the covenant was made with Abraham. And not only to Abraham, but Abraham and his seed after him. And then we must remember that we are Abraham's seed.

A Jew is not a Jew, which is by nationality a Jew. A Jew is a Jew inwardly. He is the seed of Abraham when he takes on Christ. He becomes Abraham's seed and, or, in the covenant with Abraham, for the promise was made to Abraham.

Now, how do we become Abraham's seed? When we have the faith that Abraham had. If you notice as Brother Border's read the Scriptures, did this come to Abraham when he was in circumcision or out of circumcision? When he was--before he was circumcised. So you see, works don't get us anywhere. It's our faith that saves us.

UNCONDITIONAL.COVENANT_  PHOENIX.AZ  SATURDAY_  54-0306

E-72    But if you've got the Holy Ghost, you're God's child, you're Abraham's Seed. You got an unconditional covenant written in your heart by God Almighty Himself, Who can't take it back. Amen. He swore that He wouldn't do it. Hallelujah.

Every promise in the Bible is mine,

Every chapter, every verse, every line.

I am trusting in His love Divine.

Every promise in the Book is mine.

God's children, unconditionally... You don't deserve your healing tonight. There's not a one of us in here that deserves to even hear the Gospel. There's not a one of you deserves the grace of Jesus Christ, none of us. We're all all together. But God by grace has did it anyhow. That's right. There's none of you deserve your healing. Every one of you ought to die, me too, all of us. We're not deserved to live on the earth. That's right. We're not deserving to look at God's creation.

But God has promised us and He cannot lie. He swore that He would do it. Healing belongs to us. Amen. Salvation belongs to us. The Holy Ghost belongs to us. Heaven belongs to us. Now we're the sons of God. Now we're setting in heavenly places in Christ Jesus. There's nothing can harm us.

UNCONDITIONAL.COVENANT_  PHOENIX.AZ  SATURDAY_  54-0306

E-74    Oh, I hate to butcher anything up like that, but I hope you get what I mean. God has made an unconditional covenant. He swore by the death of Jesus Christ. He sent the Holy Ghost back upon you to be a confirmation that the covenant is made with you. Brother, I don't want the devil to rob you out of that. Don't think I'm crazy. I guess I may be, but let me alone. I'm happy crazy then. Look. Let me tell you something. I'd rather be this way than the way I used to be.
