Quotes used in the message “The Coming of the Lord”
REVELATION 4:1
1
¶ After this I looked,
and, behold, a door [was] opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard
[was] as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and
I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.
REVELATION 4:2
2 And immediately I was in the
spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and [one] sat on the throne.
REVELATION 4:3
3 And he that
sat was to look upon like a jasper and a sardine stone: and [there was] a
rainbow round about the throne, in sight like unto an emerald.
REVELATION 4:4
4 And round
about the throne [were] four and twenty seats: and upon the seats I saw four
and twenty elders sitting, clothed in white raiment; and they had on their
heads crowns of gold.
I THESSALONIANS 4:13
13 ¶ But I
would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep,
that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope.
I THESSALONIANS 4:14
14 For if we
believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him.
I THESSALONIANS 4:15
15 For this we
say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive [and] remain unto
the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.
I THESSALONIANS 4:16
16 For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the
voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall
rise first:
REVELATION.CHAP.FOUR.PT.1_ JEFF.IN ROJC 551-584 SATURDAY_ 60-1231
147 Caught up,
fulfilled His promise in--in Revelation 4:2. Before his death he was caught up
in the Spirit and seen
things just as though he had lived. He--he seen it all rehearsed. Thus he saw
in a vision exactly what would've took place and what did take place on the
earth from that time until the coming of the Lord Jesus: Show it to him in a
vision.
So then the disciples... Or no one that ever said
that He said He'd come in that age. He said, "What is it to you if,
otherwise, if he tarries till I come?" Then He took him up and just
rehearsed the thing to him and showed him what was going to happen. Oh, I just love that. Hm. Oh, my.

And finally, at last, the apostles one day, even
after the resurrection, there's--one was leaning upon His shoulder, John He
loved. He was a young man. And He said, "What is it to you if this man
tarries till I come?" There went out a saying among them, that John
wasn't going to--going to die till Jesus returned. Jesus did not say
that. He just, what... He said, "What is it to you if he does tarry?"
And then, of course, you read in--in a word, how that--that God then... That
was said for a purpose. These things are all for a purpose. God took that young John and
lift him up in the Spirit, and saw His coming, plumb over into the--the age
that is to come. See, said, "What is it to you if he tarries?" He didn't
tarry in physical; but--but the Word that He spoke through him brought us to
this age where we are now. You see? So it all works together for good.
FIRST.SEAL.THE_ JEFF.IN MONDAY_ 63-0318
120-3 {24} John caught up in the 4th chapter to see things
which was, which is, and which is to come. But the Church finishes at the 4th
chapter, and Christ takes up the Church, caught up in the air to meet Him,
and does not appear again until the 19th chapter when He comes back with--as
King of king and Lord of lords with the Church. And now...
Oh, I hope someday that we can get through it all, maybe before He comes. If we
don't, we'll see it anyhow; so it doesn't matter.
RISING.OF.THE.SUN_ JEFF.IN V-3 N-12 SUNDAY_ 65-0418M
15-3 As Christ
was the first One to raise from all the prophets and so forth (although typed
in many places, He was
the Firstfruits of those that slept), in the Bride
coming of Christ, coming out of the church, there'll have to be a Sheaf waved
again in the last days. Oh, my.
Waving of the sheaf, what was the sheaf? The first
one that come to mature, the first one that proved it was a
wheat that proved it was a sheaf. Hallelujah. I'm sure you see what I'm
talking about. It was waved over the people, and the first time there will come forth for the Bride
age, for a resurrection out of dark denominationalism, will be a Message that
the full maturity of the Word has turned back again in Its full power and being
waved over the people by the same signs and wonders that He did back there.
CHRIST.IS.THE.MYSTERY_ JEFF.IN V-3 N-7 SUNDAY_ 63-0728
32-4 All those
things typed Him (just in type), but yet the mystery was hid. Them men didn't know what they were doing. They only knew
that they were led by the Spirit to do something. Now, holding it back in the
last days for the great revelation, but expressing it... Express Himself in
Moses, and David, and Joseph, and Elijah and on down through. You--we could
take each one of those prophets and bring their lives out and show it expressed
Jesus Christ perfectly, exactly, yet never giving His secret in full, waiting
for to make it known in the last days as He promised, waiting for it to be fully comprehended
(See?) before He could express it. If He told the whole
thing... Because the Bible's written in mysteries; Jesus thanked the
Father for it (See?), that It was wrote in mysteries.
CHRIST.IS.THE.MYSTERY_ JEFF.IN V-3 N-7 SUNDAY_ 63-0728
33-1 Now, the coming of the Lord is in mystery.
We don't know when He's coming, how He's coming, but we know He's coming, See? And
so was all the mysteries of God waiting for this last
day. After it's already been completed then He reveals,
He shows what He's done. Oh, my. Never gave His mystery in full...
It's just like this, comparing the Seven Seals. Now, when God used
Martin Luther for the coming out, for that first church (that church age), and
when He used John Wesley, and He gradually brought them out and was revealing
in them that church age. When we--anyone goes back through the Bible now and
find out... But in the last days...
