Quotes used in the sermon "Germitized Seed"
TIME.OF.DECISION_ LA.CA SATURDAY_ 59-0418
E-13 The Word of God is a Seed. And a Seed is planted in the ground. And if that Seed is watered, it springs forth into life, if it's a germitized Seed. Jesus said the Word was a Seed. Then if the Seed has fallen into your heart, and you'll water that Seed by faith believing, it'll bring forth just after its kind.
Ah, you can put me on record. And after thirty years of preaching, I can say this: that I have never one time, sincerely, ever asked God for anything and committed it to Him, He either give it to me, or told me why He couldn't do it.

E-7 I can go on record for this tonight. If any people will take the right mental attitude towards any Divine promise that God ever made and claim it for yours, He will--God will bring it to pass. If you'll take the right attitude towards it, knowing that if God said so, the promise is yours, and it's your personal property the very minute you receive It that way, then it has to come to pass.
For Jesus said, "The Word is a Seed that a sower sowed." And a seed, if it's a germitized seed and it goes into the ground, then that seed under the right conditions of the sun and moisture, will bring forth the life that's in the seed.
And so is the Word of God. If a person can take that Word and place It in their heart, and give It the right sunshine, the right temperature, not s-u-n, but S-o-n, and right temperature of faith in there, that seed and promise will live to you just like it did at the beginning to the one It was given to.
Because it's God's Word, and He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He cannot fail.

E-54 Now, the Word is a Seed. Now, most of you brethren are--are here, I suppose, farm. And you put a seed in the ground, and the--the next morning you go out and dig it up, and say, "My corn ain't growing yet," put it back, and cover it up. The next morning, "See if it's growing again." It never will grow like that. No, no. Every time you dig it up, you delay it. Isn't that right?
What do you do? You know the earth was made to grow the corn (Is that right?), or the--or the--the seed. And you plant the seed, commit it to the earth, and forget about it. God does the rest of it. Well, that's the way you do with the Word of God. You just plant It. Don't dig It up. Just keep on believing It. Commit it to God. He makes It grow. That's right. See?
Any promise that God makes, you just--you just plant it in your heart and say, "It's mine. God gave it to me." See? Now, you may not see any results right now. You never see a corn crop as soon as you plant your corn, but potentially it's there. As long as you'll leave it alone, and keep watering it, it--it'll grow. Don't worry about that. It'll take... If it's a germitized seed...
And every Word of God is germitized by God Himself. God is in the Word, so it will grow. You know it will.
There you are. We have to take His Word, accept It, believe It, commit It, and It grows. That's right. Don't keep digging It up now. You'll ruin It. You'll ruin your crop every time you do that. So just commit it to God and believe it.

E-58 So you see, we're living in a terrific time, and that's what that pressure's upon the church. Why, you want to see something, you want to see something. But now, how can God ever watch over His Word to vindicate It, and the person disbelieving that Word and won't receive It in their heart? How can the sun shine upon a seed and bring it to life when it hasn't got any life in it?
It's got to be a germitized seed. So a creed is germitized to make more members. But the Word is germitized to make saints, make believers. That's right. God works to perform His Words. He--He watches over It to vindicate It. Yes, sir.

E-1 I have a few Scriptures and notes or two wrote down here that I'd like to leave--leave with you. Now, just before we do, let's pray just a moment again.
Father, we pray that You will take Thy Word. Thy Word is Truth, and the Bible said, Jesus speaking, said the Word is a Seed that a sower sowed. Now, we realize that if a seed is a good seed, it's germitized. And if that seed has been--carried out its plan that in--in God's will, then it leaves a germitized seed. And when Jesus was on earth He was that Vine, and the Seed that He sowed was His Word.
And we know that it's germitized by His own Life.

E-32 Or If I asked you for a oak tree and you gave me an acorn, potentially I have an oak tree. And if I asked you for a ear of corn and you gave me a grain of corn, potentially I have a ear of corn. Then I commit it to the ground, and water it, and keep all the weeds away from it that would draw the strength from the ground around it, keep the weeds out, then it'll automatically grow,
because it's committed and it's a germitized seed. Now, if the seed isn't germitized, it won't. But if the seed has the germ of life into it, there's nothing can keep it from growing.

172 How could he do it? It was because he never had it down here in the first place.
He wasn't a germitized seed. He was the son of perdition, borned out of perdition, returned back to perdition.
Now, we notice. But he went out, and maybe he might've had an idea of his understanding. He might've thought that Jesus... He had so much respect for Him, "Now, you know; I might sell Him for thirty pieces of silver. And if I do, I'll have some money, and I can do something with that. And He's able to deliver Himself." See, he didn't know in the Scripture that He had raised up to take that same place.
And neither does the people today realize what condition that they're in. It's ordained for this Laodicea church to be in this condition, putting Christ on the outside, and Him knocking, trying to get back in, [Brother Branham knocks on the pulpit--Ed.], no cooperation nowhere though. Vindicating His Word in the day now, like He did in every day, and they walk right away from it. Leaning to their own understanding, that's--that's all there is to it.
