Quotes used in the sermon "Is God Infinite"
QA.ON.THE.SEALS_ JEFF.IN SUNDAY_ 63-0324M
485-6 {183} All children, all the church, everything there is and... God, by His foreknowledge... Now, we don't know. You say, "Brother Branham, can you prove that you're there?" No, sir. I cannot prove it. God could use me for a tool of something else, and use you the same way. But I believe, and by faith I am saved, not by knowledge I'm saved: by faith. That's the way you're saved. That's the way we're all saved.
But remember, God is infinite. Do you believe that? Infinite... By being infinite, that makes Him... And then He's omniscient. Do you believe that? "Omniscient" means "He knows all things." He can't be--He can't be omniscient without being infinite. See, there never was nothing but what He knowed. He knowed every gnat would ever be on earth, and how many times it would bat its eyes, and how much tallow it would make--how much all of them make together.
GOD'S.CHOSEN.PLACE.WORSHIP_ JEFF.IN V-5 N-7 SATURDAY_ 65-0220
28 Now, also, the place He has chosen for His worshippers, He claimed He would put His Name. Now, let's search out and find through the Scripture where this place is. Surely, if God said He'd put His Name in this place where He had chosen to meet the people and worship with them--or them worship Him, rather, that it's somewhere in the Bible, for it was for all ages.
And the great unchanging God cannot change. Man changes. But you could put your life upon anything that God ever said at any time, because it is truth. It is truth. Because that's the only thing I can have confidence in, is the Bible, because man's word will fail, but God is supreme. This year I should know more than I knowed last year. You should too. Each day... We're finite, so we gain knowledge. But God is infinite. He's infinite; and being infinite, He cannot gain knowledge. He is perfect to begin with. Every decision has to be exactly right.
And the way God acted one time, He must forever act that way or He acted wrong when He act the first time. If a man ever come to God for salvation, upon the basis that He accepted him on, it's got to be accepted on that same basis every time. That's right. If a man ever come to God for Divine healing, and God accepted him upon a certain basis, the next man comes, He's got to accept him the same way, or He did wrong when He accepted the first man. God made a basis that He would meet a man on. He made a basis at what He would do, how He would do it, and that was through the sacrificial blood of a lamb in the garden of Eden. God has never, no time, ever changed it.
149-3 SMYRNAEAN.CHURCH.AGE - CHURCH.AGE.BOOK CPT.4
The eternal thoughts of God! Let me ask you, "Are the thoughts of God eternal?" If you can see this, you will see many things. God is unchangeable in both essence and behavior. We have studied that and proven that already. God is infinite in His abilities so therefore He as God must be omniscient. If He is omniscient, then He is not now learning, nor is He taking counsel even with Himself, nor is He at any time adding to His knowledge. If He can add to His knowledge, then He is not omniscient. The best we could say is that sometime He will be. But that is not Scriptural. He IS omniscient. He has never had a new thought about anything because all His thoughts He has always had and always will have, and knows the end from the beginning because He is God. THUS THE THOUGHTS OF GOD ARE ETERNAL. THEY ARE REAL. They are not simply like a man with a blueprint he has drawn up and which one day will be translated into substance and form, but they are already real and eternal, and part of God.
MIGHTY.CONQUEROR_ JEFF.IN SUNDAY_ 56-0401
E-8 A little girl setting here, now, she's just a child. Her parents has to lead her. After while she'll grow up and probably in her day she progresses, she might be smarter than her mother is now (See?), 'cause she keeps progressing, but God is infinite. He can't change. He has to... He--He was--He was perfect to begin with. He will be the same at the end. He--He can't change. So whatever His attitude was towards anything in the Bible, it has to be same now, or He did wrong the way He acted then. See? So He's got to never change.
So before we open up His Word, let us speak to the One Who wrote It, the Lord Jesus, while we bow our head.

E-24 Your love ought to be to Christ, undefiled. But Satan perverts that love to something of the world. He perverts it. So then when he perverted good to wrong, and taken the angels with him, a little block fell out of this perfect circle of eternity, and dropped down to a place called time. It come in right here, goes around, and goes out right over here. Time--eternity exists right on down through time.
Now, when Christ saw what Satan had done, when God saw it back here at the beginning of time... Notice now, while God at the beginning was no wiser, or no less wiser than He is tonight... God is infinite. You believe it? God is infinite. Then He can never change.
Now, we get a little smarter as we get older. The whole world gets a little smarter. You used to go to church in a model T Ford. Tonight you can have a V-8 in the same thing. Used to be the only way you could get across the ocean was an old ship with sails on it. Tonight a jet plane will take you across. See, we get smarter. But not God, God was perfect at the begin and He will be just as perfect at the end.

E-25 Now, here's what I love, listen at it now. If God is infinite, and perfect, and cannot make a mistake (Are you following me?), if He cannot make a mistake, then the way God acted in the beginning when a crisis arose, He's got to act the same way when the same crisis arise, or He acted wrong when He acted back there. You see it?
Then if God said something He's got to stay with that, in order to be God. Amen. That would make a Methodist religious, wouldn't it? Look at it. God's got to stay with His Word. You believe it, say, "Amen." He's got to keep It. Then if a crisis arose on earth like the people dying in the wilderness, and God erected a brass serpent for their healing, 'cause the doctors and so forth was with them, if they had any, could not--none of their remedies of Egypt could not cure their sickness, so God had to act.

E-30 Now, when God is brought to a decision... And the decision that God makes the first time has to ever remain the same, because He is infinite. He's perfect, and His decisions are perfect. Therefore, He cannot say, "I said that last year, but I know more about it this year." God is infinite God. He is perfect, and every decision He makes is perfect. He never has to alter it, because it's perfect to begin with. He never has to take it back.
Therefore, I can make a promise. I don't know. I have to take it back. But God doesn't do that. And if God was called on the scene to heal a man that was sick, and the basis that God healed that man on, He's got to forever keep that same thing.
When a man was lost, he was only one way He made a--a preparation to save that man. And on the basis He saved him, it still remains today: the shed blood. To heal a man was by faith. And that's the only way He heals today, is by faith to believe His Word. That's exactly right.
